Making PRIVATEER work!

Ok ok... you were right! :)
I don't know what went wrong the first time... anyway, here it is:

I was right, noooo how is that possible? Could you do this again but with my files. I am taking a difference aproach then Silent Warrior. Which OS did you create your boot disk from?

You can try change the sound setting in Silent Warrior config.sys to this:

DEVICEHIGH=C:\SB32\DRV\CTSB16.SYS /UNIT=0 /WIN95 /BLASTER=A:220 I:5 D:1 H:5
DEVICEHIGH=C:\sb32\DRV\CTMMSYS.SYS

By change it to DEVICEHIGH this should free a lot of memeory. I just usually don't set the sound card in the Config.sys so I am not sure that the sound will work. The files I setup I know.

Hey, it works!! :D
The game loads up, but it loads with NO SOUND... as it does not recognize my sound card settings...

I'm trying to change the IRQ and DMA settings, but do you think this has to do with the "DEVICEHIGH" line, or is it just a settings problem?

Thanks a lot for the help, though! :)

DEVICEHIGH shouldn't be screwing anything; make sure you're using these settings:

I/O Port: 220h
IRQ: 5
DMA: 1

Also, verify that your SET BLASTER line has A220 I5 D1 in it somewhere.

In the c:\privater directory type "install" when you are configuring the sound settings choose SB16 and use these
Port=220 Irq=5 Dma=1 Hdma=5. If this still doesn't work go into the C:\SB32 directory and look for a test file. Run it and see if the sound card works under dos. I also had a problem change the sound settings once with this game. I delete the c:\privater and install it again with the boot disk. I was then able to set the sound up.
