My problem with the Sabre was that its 8cm worth of shields just wasn't enough (and because the manual claims the Sabre has twice that amount, you tend to get too confident). And of course, there's also that problem of guns being too far apart.
I have always leaned towards the lighter ships, due to my hit-and-run style of flying. In the earlier games, I was happiest in the cockpit of a Hornet or the Epee. In the later games...* smiles as he remembers the Arrow * I stuck with the smaller, more nimble fighters, be it a Banshee or the Tigershark.
Oh, and the Scim handles like I Centariun Mud Pig.....
