if you could design a wing commander game

*g* Whom doesn't need to sleep a lot? I have to sleep myself healthy now. It was a long weekend and a long party night (which I spent half in an ambulance-tent).

Oh... Too much Kölsch or what? Or was it Alt?

I have my last Schoolday before the exams on friday... In Denmark that means that u drink until u die (well almost) We even drink together with our teachers (which are even better than us...)
So hopefully I will survive it (its going to be funny, though)

Ah, to live in a country where I could drink. Wait, what am I talking about? I'm a teetotaler.

My school gets out in June, and finals are then. Do they use the German schooling system in Denmark? Do you go to a gymnasium and take the Abitur? Or just finals?

I started a new full-time job this week -- in the middle of exams... and I have to update the CIC and respond to about 100 WC-related questions each night <G> I get *no* sleep;)

No one is saying you have to LOAF, you choose to. :)

No, I really do have to... it's my mission in life.

Plus, when the CIC doesn't get updated, stupid people reload it over and over and over until it changes... and that drains my bank account. This is getting expensive...

Oops. I didn't know reloading costs you. But I only refresh if it hasn't been updated by the afternoon EST. It's usually updated by then.

Uhm... unless you fit the description of someone who does one of the stupid things I've described, I'm not really calling anyone in particular stupid.

It's stupid to reload the page over and over and over and over quickly. Do you do that?

That's when I try to update it. Sometimes I can't update until the morning.

If you spend all the time from 8/9 until the next morning reloading the site every ten minutes, then you're stupid.

People actually do this. They're stupid. :)

No, I don't do that... sure I don't... ;)

But really, I don't. Unless I take too many meds :)

No. It's a pity. Not because of that. I just drank some lemonades, because I wanted to fly the 1st May...but the guy whom ran towards me and because of whom I fell and came with my knee on a broken beer-glass...had some beers too much. The end of the song was me sitting in the ambulance tent with a fat knee...and the party night was over: Quote of the doctor: 'You could go on with the party. On your responsibiltity. But it is better if you go home and put your knee high...with some ice on it. I hated him for that...flying with my machine the next day was 'Essig' (not possible) so I had to fly as guest with another one which was bigger. For my flight education it was not so worthful at all.:( So I am also sitting here at home now being unhappy because of very good wheather and no possibilty to go out and do sport...*g* Partys and flying don't fit to each other. In many ways...

Yes and no. First of all, there does not exist a German school system, each Bundesland has its own school system, which have significant differences, however the Abitur and the Gymnasium exist in every Bundesland.

Denmark has a different school system, but it is similar to that in Germany in many respects, and we do have a gymnasium, which only lasts 3 years, that are the 11th, 12th and 13th class in Germany. Before that, all people are going into a Folkeskole which is kind of a german "Volksschule" (I don't know the US equivalent). If you finish there (it lasts 9 years), u get an exam that allows you to become, lets say, a specialised worker, mechanic or so (in Germany called "Hauptschulabschluß".

After having finished folkeskole u can either go to the gymnasium (Oberstufe gymnasium in Germany), take one year more to get a middle degree (Mittlere Reife in German) or start to work.

That means it only takes 12 years to get a Abitur in Denmark, as you can drop 10th class (it is absolutely unnecessary to take it).

Compared to Germany, it is a bit easier the first 9 years, after that it is getting hard, and when you get your Abitur (called studentereksamen in Denmark), it is fully accepted in all european countries (so it is equivalent to the German Abitur, indeed)

Oh that is bad. Obviously he should have to think if his tactic is quite good enough which seems doubtful to me. We did not have free 1st May, unfortunately, which is quite frustrating... We have 1 week less holidays in Denmark and only half as much holidays("Feiertage"), too...

But this weekend will be funny... Danish beer is actually ok and its easy to drink a lot of it...
