If there was another 2nd WC movie/film....

Ok Loaf. Please don't hurt me :)

1: What is the name of the blonde Communications Officer on the Concordia?

2: The system's name was something simular to Nevi Kiev? Also, how do you spell the system you start out in WC2. It starts with a C.

3: What is Angel's full name and how do you spell it?

4: Was Ghora Khar in the Ghora Khar system? Or was the planet in the "Nevi Kiev" system?

5: Do we know Doomsday's name? If so, what is it.

6: Do we know Stingray's name? If so, what is it.

7: Do we know Downtown's name? If so, what is it.

8: I'm lazy and don't want to look for my Claw Marks. What is Spirit's full name?

9: What is the exact phrase Spirit says before she comits suicide, and what is the translation?

10: What is the name of Spirit's fiancee who was captured by the Kilrathi?

Thanks a bunch for any of them you can answer :-D

1: What is the name of the blonde Communications Officer on the Concordia?

Major Edmond

2: The system's name was something simular to Nevi Kiev? Also, how do you spell the system you start out in WC2. It starts with a C.

Novaya Kiev.
The first system of WC2 was Gwynedd. None of the major WC2 systems begin with a C.

3: What is Angel's full name and how do you spell it?

Jeannette Devereaux

4: Was Ghora Khar in the Ghora Khar system? Or was the planet in the "Nevi Kiev" system?

Ghorah Khar

5: Do we know Doomsday's name? If so, what is it.

Etienne Montclair

6: Do we know Stingray's name? If so, what is it.

Dirk Wright

7: Do we know Downtown's name? If so, what is it.

Ross Baldwin comes to mind, but I'm not overly confident about it and I'm not sure what my original source on that was, so I can't check. The name's not in the WC2 dialogue.

8: I'm lazy and don't want to look for my Claw Marks. What is Spirit's full name?

Tanaka Mariko (Mariko being her given name)

9: What is the exact phrase Spirit says before she comits suicide, and what is the translation?

Tengoku de omachishi te imasu!
I will wait for you in heaven.

10: What is the name of Spirit's fiancee who was captured by the Kilrathi?

Philip, I don't know of a last name.

Thanks a bunch for any of them you can answer :-D

Good so far, but I can get 'em all;)

1: What is the name of the blonde Communications Officer on the Concordia?

Major Edmond.

2: The system's name was something simular to Nevi Kiev? Also, how do you spell the system you start out in WC2. It starts with a C.

Novaya Kiev. The system you start out in is Gwynedd, the place you're thinking of is Caernarvon Station, which is in the Gwynedd System.

3: What is Angel's full name and how do you spell it?

Jeanette Devereaux, with three 'e's.

4: Was Ghora Khar in the Ghora Khar system? Or was the planet in the "Nevi Kiev" system?

Gorah Khar is a planet in the Ghorah Khar system... Novaya Kiev is another system.

5: Do we know Doomsday's name? If so, what is it.

Etienne Montclair (or Andre Dumas, if you happen to possess a copy of the pre-editing False Colors :))

6: Do we know Stingray's name? If so, what is it.

Dirk Wright.

7: Do we know Downtown's name? If so, what is it.

Ross Baldwin ('tis from the Kilrathi Saga manual, TC).

8: I'm lazy and don't want to look for my Claw Marks. What is Spirit's full name?

Tanaka Mariko.

9: What is the exact phrase Spirit says before she comits suicide, and what is the translation?

"No...not this time, Maverick. Tengoku de omachishi te imasu." The Japanese part means "I will wait for you in Heaven."

10: What is the name of Spirit's fiancee who was captured by the Kilrathi?

Hiro Philip.

Hey Firebird and ButSeriously. I'm currently studing to be a director/producer/writer and would love to read your scripts if you would permit me. I love reading what other people are doing and giving feedback. Contsructive criticism only of coarse. Telling someone something's bad just for the sake of saying it is horseshit. right now I'm working on two projects. One is a 2-hour length script for a WC series pilot set after the movie and first game and just before WC2. Those events are planned to be the first arc of the first season. And then also an orginal screenplay. It's a romantic dramedySo if you are open to outside voices (or posts as is the case here) I'm open to giving and recieving thesame. My email addy is bobbo1701@hotmail.com

Thanks a lot guys! You are amazing :D

I'm curious, where do we learn of Stingray's name? Also, not remembering Major Edmon really bugged me ;)

NOTE: Have you all ever considered moving out into a rural side cabin, each with a computer with all known WC games, each having a copy of all WC novels, and a satelite connection with a pre-prepped IE that has all known WC links within it, and stay there until you die or the Complete Wing Commander encyclopedia is finished :)

Hi, Bobbo1701!
I'd be most interested in taking a look at your work! :) I will send you a copy of my partly finished WC-script as soon as possible. It could be a day or two though until I do, because I have to overwork a few minor issues - currently the thing is a bit "messed up" and therefore rather difficult to read for anyone except myself (e.g. I sometimes refer to Maniac as "Maniac", sometimes as "Marshall", but that's the least confusing about it ;)). But you'll get it soon!
If you're interested I've got more scripts to offer. I'm currently working on a movie-adaption of the "Ultima"-series in my free time, and I'm also planning to write a "Dune"-screenplay for a movie trilogy based on Herbert's classic novel. You know, that kind of "keeping close to the book"-adaption, that would be so lengthy and costly no studio would ever want to make it. But then again - they made "The Lord of the Rings"...
I also have the script for my graduation movie - a horror flick. Only on paper, sadly, it would take a while to type it into Word.
Good luck in becoming a director by the way! :)

Ciao

Keep up the good Work, Dawson Leery!

Hey BS (I don't mean that in the obvious dirogatory way)!

Thanks for being so open to outside criticism. I know way to many self-proclaimed "artists" who refuse to take any form of criticism. Hence the quotes. Anyway I digress. I'll send you my scripts ASAP and look forward to your input. Niether are complete by any stretch of the imagination and are in the very earlier stages. As far as your other projects, I'd be happy to look at them. I'm not all that familiar with the Ultma universe and thus would only be able to look at it from a "The story dosen't seem to flow here" or "Given what's come before, why would this character do this?" stand point. As far as Dune, my experience is fairly limited but I do know it fairly well so I might be able to help keep you true to it, but I havent' read the book so..... But I'll look at them and let you know. And thnks for the well wishes!

Kind of makes me wonder... was one of SO3's dialogs planned to mention his middle initial? :p

You wanna know something funny?

Back in the day when we had our beastly 486 Packard Bell here at the homestead, I got WC2 first because it looked neat and it was a cheap game. I didn't know much about computers then, but I really enjoyed the game. Even after trying different callsigns I started liking Firebird. I used others after that, but it stuck when I chose it as my online name when I joined the CW clan in online multiplayer for the game Battlezone.

Anyways, I had the delux version of WC2. I never even KNEW I had the Special Operations for a long time. Then I discovered them, and played them. I enjoyed finally killing off Jazz, and I believe by that time I had purchased WC1 cheaply at the Mall of America, so I knew of Maniac too :)

NOTE: You know how in WCP Maniac says he's never been a squadron commander? He had a small squadron in WC2 Special Operations. They were either killed or disabled by the end, but he had a small team under his command. I guess he was refering to a full squadron in WCP :)

Yup... what he always wanted to command was a *wing*. And for some reason Prophecy switches around the terms... the Black Widows are a fighter *wing*, not a squadron.

Loaf I havn't really been active in this online community until recently, and I am quite amazed that there are people who are such deticated Wing Commander fans. It's good to know you guys are here. And I also have one more detail question :)

There is a Waterloo class Crusier in the WC2 game. It's something like the TCS Augincourt. What is the name and how do you spell it?

I remember Jazz telling Angel before he pulled the gun on her "Everything will be good as soon as the Augincourt jumps in" and she says "How the Hell do you know about the Augincourt?" then Angel says "How clever, you stole Stingray's wings".

I don't think you'd need to go to LOAF for that one. The TCS Agincourt was probably named after the battle of the same name (actually two battles) between the British and the French. The Black Prince of England won the first battle there, while the second battle holds a prominent spot in Shakespeare's Henry V.

TCS Agincourt (CC-8)... she was part of the 14th fleet, which Admiral Tolwyn commanded from the Concordia. She first shows up in WC2 during the Heaven's Gate missions, as part of the force Confed sends to destroy the station... you encounter her in Heaven's Gate 3, when you go to escort the missile transport Mama's Boy. Then, as you already mentioned, she was part of the force that was going to take K'Tithrak Mang...

(If you lose WC2 and survive, Blair is reassigned back to Gwynedd, and there's a scene where the Agincourt jumps in from having lost Novaya Kiev, reporting that the Concordia was destroyed).

At some point after WC2 the Agincourt was destroyed or decomissioned... during the WC3 era (2669, 2 years later) a Tallahasee class cruiser bears the name.

Just out of curiousity, has anyone ever catalogued all of the various fleets that are mentioned to try and make sense of military deployments?
