I've heard that if you have Win XP you must set compability setting to
Win 95 or 98 in order to play Standoff. Can someone explain to me how do this?

Locate your folder where standoff is installed, find the standoff.exe in there, right click it and select properties.

Click the Compatibility Tab and check the Box Combatility Mode and choose win98 or 98.

Then hit Apply or OK.
