If you paid $3200 for a PC, you'd do best to use whatever monitor it came with -- games will look a lot nicer than on a TV...

Not at all. I got a 19 inch FD Trinitron with my computer and it is so nice but with my video card (G4 Ti 4600) with the S-Video output it looks better on my TV than my monitor because for output to TV my card can do 1024 x 768 resolution instead of the standard 640 x 480. Every single time my ship lands on the Midway, everything looks smooshed together, but on my TV it looks nicely balanced and the textures look perfect.
