Give Your Phone Some Origin Flair (February 10, 2011)

Thank you

I am the one that compiled the wallpaper, based on the images from the Origin Museum and a few Google searches. Glad to that you like.

There will be a few more coming soon, especially for fan projects. If anyone has a suggestion, please let me know!

Cool, good job! Have you thought about making them higher res for the retina display? Obviously some of the source material for classic Origin stuff can be fairly low res sometimes.

I only have a 3rd-gen Touch, so I sized them per those guidelines (480x320). I do have a few that I'm going to make into iPad backgrounds as well.

What resolution does Retina use? Can't guarantee anything, since some of the images I used are fairly small, but I can take a look.

And here I was thinking that I'd never find a better IPhone wallpaper than the Mass Effect N7 picture.

Good to know. When I have time, I'll go through my source images and see what I can do.

I had to resize them slightly to fit my phones screen (a T-Mobile Vairy Text), but thanks for them.

Excellent work! I'm using Wing Commander III as my lock screen and Wing Commander IV as my home screen.

Sorry if i might be a bit off-topic, but does someone has the privateer 2 P.A.D. sound effect? (the one that is always played when you open the pad via "p"; it's also hearable when you get money from Xavier Shondi or transfered data from Angus Santana in the FMVs)

I would really like to have this sound-effect as my ring tone.

This is rad, I've always wanted my phone to be the PAD.

I wonder what happened to the prop...

Actually, I've never seen any Privateer 2 props for sale--which is interesting, since England is a huge source of movie prop sellers.

I did a quick search, and the only PAD sound effect I could find was in the Privateer 2 Windows Theme that Origin released. Not sure its what you are looking for tho. It looks like the CIC has a copy of it:

I had this archive already and the included pad1.wav is unfortunately only some background sound.
What i mean is the following file ;) (recorded with dosbox, background noise removed with audacity)

Though a higher quality would be nice
