Well, I distinctly remember having trouble hitting the enemy with anything other than fire-and-forget weapons :).
Eww, I hated the missiles in Privateer. They were too slow compared to the afterburn speeds.

Hehe...

I got me a P4 1400, with a 19 incher for $3200 at the local Gateway dealer... But it's fast. Fast. Fast.

I like building my own systems. It's hard for my to keep track of the cost of each system I've built. I know it didn't cost me no $3200.00. I usually use parts from my old PC than upgrade to increase performance. I have a need to build a new system every six months. I am into AMD processors. Since there been no new processor out for the past 8 month (processor clock speed is not a good reason to upgrade) I am now going though withdrawns. So I've decided to add a Dual Diamond Monster 3D Voodoo II 24MB video cards to my system. I am probablily going to replace my SBLive card too. Maybe even my graphic card.

My current systems is Abit KT7-100 Raid with AMD Athlon T-Bird 900 MHz, 256 MB PC133, Hercules 3D Prophet II MX, ViewSonic PF790 (19") monitor. SB Live Platinum and a Maxtor 7200 RPM 30 GB AT100. When you build your own system you get to know everything about it. This system is fast and stable.

build your own

Indeed! Building your own system allows you to find out what goes on inside, as well as knowing what is in there. Every computer on my home LAN, I built. They all run perfectly. Its cheaper to build them yourself also!

Of course is cheaper to make (update)your own computer !!!!!

It´s fun, you learn a bit, i have the same carcass of the 286 in my Celeron 400 with 128 mb ram anf my TNT2.
