I'm sure releasing the executable is *technically* illegal -- but it's something EA would definately not care about.

Do you think they'd actually care about anything WC related? youd think if they did they would have replied to my tech probs and would do something to reasure us that WC isent 'dead' official game wise.

I'd say at the moment EA only cares if somebody brakes their rules...selling illegal copies etc.
Except that: EA does not care much aabout WC any more *said carefully*.

EA tech support's always sucked :)

But what do you really expect them to do to reassure us? Tell us they'll probably make another game at some point when they really don't have any plans about it right now? What's the point in that?

[QUOTE Prophecy runs fine in ME. There's a Windows 2000 patch in the Files section.

It does? Er, I have WinME and whenever I try to play Prophecy it sez "Error::No Mouse Detected" and then crashes the program. :(

No one in Tech support in EA or on this board could figure it out! :(

I had this same problem, I have a Logitech mouse, and the Logitech software supplied with the mouse seemed to interfere with WCP for some reason. Uninstalling the Logitech stuff and just using the standard windows mouse driver worked for me.

Err, yeah, just don't use a weird mouse... use a regular PS/2 mouse... even one of those neat light-up ones.
