logicly they should have send it to some research lab to find out how it works,
instead of carrying it around like a war trophee...
 
The Midway had just returned from Kilrah at the start of WCSO. Besides, who's to say there weren't Confed scientists aboard studying it while the ship was doing its little "victory lap" thing? (my phrase, not theirs)

I think you mean confederation class, and yes I believe all of them had a PTC, as the keel of the ship was made up basically by the weapon itself.

Concordia class are like the Lexington in WC4 and the ship you can capture in Speradon.

Incidentally, Paladin notes in a letter to Lance Casey that the efforts of Finley and Coriolis had made progress on getting the Ship-Killer Plasma Cannon to fire again, IIRC.
