Alright, Hardly a serious topic, but there have been worse.

1 on 1, full fighter compliments. Here's the Scenario:

TCS Midway enters the Wormhole device only to findherself encountering the Tigers Claw in combat! Who will win?

TCS Tiger's Claw's Nostalgic appeal and cool wingmen...
vs
TCS Midway's Advanced Techology and paper mache wingmen?

Tonite, exclusive to the CIC, lets get ready to rumbleeeeee!

Ahh, yes. Feel free to add humorous stories of time-traveling turmoil between these two fine ships ala the real Grudge Match thing if you've ever read them. Funny as hell.

I can't answer that one, if only because I'd have to get in there and smack around all command members for their foolishness. Now if it was a question as to kicking down the Kilrathi or Nephlim, I might be tempted to join up. :)

There should a rule that says, "don't be stupid." What is with all these idiotic posts lately.

Even though war games are common in any military, this question is meaningless. In these types of battles, it's the crews, and not the ships themselves, that determine who wins or loses. A great crew can bring an old Ranger-class escort carrier to victory over a dreadnaught, for instance.

let's see...

other than having craft with shields 10X more than a the Tigers Claw's craft, the Midway's craft shoot bolts, unlike balls in WC1. Finally, the Tiger's Claw crew has no torps, thus the midway can just ram the damned old rustbucket and send it to oblivion

BUT, the're all from confed thus can't they just be friends.........

I say the midway will ram the tigers claw if nothing else. Plus guns, and torpedos will help it to win as well!

This is a HUMOR post (or trying to be). People are supposed to start a story and add on to it. I really don't understand how that's difficult to comprehend.

People indeed seem to take it too serious, though I have to say I don't find this idea very funny. :p

Realistically, of course the Midway would win, she has far more poerful shields, fighters (and much more) and so on.
But since this isn't serious: The Midway wouldn't destroy the TC, since neither Blair (who has returned through that strange wormhole-time-warp-machine) nor Maniac would sit there and look how the first carrier they were assigned to gets destroyed.

Or maybe it'll go something like this:

TC will launch some misc Wingmen who die like Hunter and Knight, who waste some redshirts. Then, the big nightlite on midway blows up, causing the bucket aboard the TC to tip over, covering the bikini poster with water. That wakes up paladin, who's been pretty loaded from spending all night in the Bar, drinking. He wakes up and murders maniac on sight, which causes future-maniac to disappear, and.... (Add on.)

...and those masterful, witty conversations b/w Blair and Marshall wouldn't exist, either. SHAME ON YOU, STILLETO, SHAME ON YOU!! j/k:)

your forgeting older blair could kill younger blair and the cats can win the war no midway.

Yep. Couple of FAQ related questions, though:

First, what happened to the Enhanced morvan Drive post Pilgrim Stars? It seems that a deveice that can allow a ship to "jump" huge distances without using jump points would have been a huge advantage for Confed. Did Confed ever develop that technology, or was it lost for good?

Second, the section on the Nephilim says "In 2681, the Nephilim launched the first of several attacks on the Terran Confederation", which suggest there were attacks after 2681. Is there any documentation that talks about assaults after SO? If so, when did they happen, and what were the results?

Best, Raptor
