Charybdis?

Yes, a Charybdis-capable system is one reachable from the Charybdis quasar. Ordinary stars create jump points that connect only to those of its nearest neighbors, but super-dense objects like pulsars and black holes often connect to more distant systems. For example, the huge black hole in the Enigma system allows one to jump from it to nearly any system in the entire sector.

And all the systems that can be jumped to from Charybdis make up the Charybdis Corridor.

I like the fact that Roberts used stuff(or staff...?I never remember the right word:mad: ) ftom the Greek Mythology.

Charybdis ,Scylla,Odyssey (Blair reads it in the begining) :)

The Greek Spelling is "Scylla kai Charibdi tou Omirikou epous Odysseia"

with Latin characters ofcourse.....

Well its off-topic but I wanted to say that :)

The Characters of the Stories are Greek :)

I was talking about the Latin Characters eeemm. The FONÔS.
To read them correctly (you)I wrote them with English(Latin) Letters :)

IN greek they are "Óêõëëá êáé ×áñõâäç ôïõ Ïìçñéêïõ åðïõò Ïääõóóåéá"
