I wonder if wingnuts across the Atlantic will be familiar with this gentleman. Norman Wisdom, a British national treasure who died this afternoon at his home on the Isle Of Wight at the age of 95 - just five years short of being the first Knight to reach a century of life since the turn of the millenium.
Even if you're not particularly keen on his clownish, slapstick act, one can't deny his contribution to comedy the world over, a screen legend of his time.
