boot disk problems w/ privateer 1 ARG!!!!

I have a pentium 1 133 dinosaur and i figured this game should work, i was running the game fine but one day i opened the priv.cfg file with notepad and forgot to check off the always open option for notepad. DAMMIT!!! Now the game wants me to play with the CD ROM but for some reason i cant get the cdrom driver to load up without using up all available RAM for the game. Im so pissed! I already had a centurion and i was doing the exploratory services missions. Im soooo bummed out can somone please help me?!?! MYJEMM doesnt wanna work on my system either. I feel like I'm beating my head upside the hull of a Drayman!!!! Also anytime i try to set up emm386 with more than 8MB of RAM it doesnt want to load at all. WTF?!

Post your config.sys and your autoexec.bat.
Also it owuld help to know a bit more about your system
I any case the notepad - cfg thing cannot have any impact on the game. None at all.

Well I figured out the problem i just went into settings and disabled the "open" function for the .cfg file and it worked. I guess i needed to sleep on it. Problem solved thanx.
