hey guys.

i should be getting wc3 in the mail pretty soon and i am quite eager to start playing it. my question is if i start playing wc3, could that ruin the plot for the special operations?

Nope, nothing in WC3 really talks about what happened in SO1 & 2 (in fact, it largely ignores them...).

Yeah, like everyone else said. You can skip Special Ops without a problem. You should go back and play them later though when you have the time.

wc3 basically totally ignores the events of SO1/2, as Tolwyn still dislikes us in wc3, while not wanting to ruin SO2 for you, Tolwyn acts a lot like the novel tolwyn at the end of SO2.

Yeah, he was getting soft there, wasn't he? Luckily the Battle of Terra changed him back into a pain-in-the-behind Tolwyn. :)

Actually, without any voice inflection to back up what he's saying, he could still be the stiff ass Tolwyn to Blair that he always has been. I believe all that he says in WC2, SO1 and SO2 can be interpreted as the same 'mutual respect' he speaks to Blair about in WC3, grudgingly admitting what Blair has accomplished.
