Banned by the Administrator?

Hi,

I am a WCIC lurker who has occasionally posted in the past, but probably haven't posted anything in years. I recently tried to sign in with my old email address and got a message stating that my email address had been banned by the administrator. How can I find out why/how my email address had been banned? I can't imagine it was for any kind of 'bad behavior' as I generally try to be polite and don't get involved in flame wars, trolling etc. I'd like to get it unbanned if I could.

There was a huge influx of spam a while back and so the anti-spam measures were ratcheted up. You can email your details (username and email address) to staff@wcnews.com and we can clear it up.
