My first experience with Wing Commander was on the Amiga too. Long time ago now but it got me hooked. (I got a PC just in time for three, but went back and got a double pack of WC1 & 2 on CD, along with Armada).

A quick check shows that the Amazon Marketplace site in the US have people selling it on there for less than $10 (Used). The unused ones are only $29...

I guess films I've enjoyed that many didn't seem to would include Judge Dredd and Grosse Point Blank Another film I think might fall into this categor is "Night of the comet"

They used to sell them a lot at the computer markets in the UK. That particular one listed itself as having the demos of WC1-4, patches, saved games, as well as the extra missions and editors

If memory serves, the Buda one is based on the I-war games. I've played the other two and enjoyed them. More can be found at www.firstones.com - they have links for a few mods etc

First time I played WC was when it came out on the Amiga. (92/93ish?) I'll have been 19 then. Spent the next couple of years hoping WC2 would come out on the amiga before I got my first PC. Since then, bought every one of them as they came out.

They finished the season in early January here - though we did get the mini-series way later on this side of the atlantic. Some deal Sky apparently did. There are certain major events towards the last ten minutes of the season finale

I haven't played any old PC games recently (not counting the WC games as I've played 1 and 2 within the last couple of weeks) - but looking through what I've got, that might change. I have been playing old spectrum games though. Dan Dare, Dynamite Dan, Saboteur, Bruce Lee, Starquake...

According to the box - yes.

There have been other ways to get the film in the UK of course, but it'll be interesting to see what it does in the charts here.

I believe it's getting a region 2 dvd release in the UK just after new year.
