Repair droid??? I have a repair droid but it does nothing a real waste of money and a bug I hope is fixed in 1.1

i am stuck in a system with a broken jumpdrive and no ship seller. How can i fix this? Can't find the saved pilot files (osX) Do I have to start a new game?? Or can I edit the game file??
