Anyone know of any good and preferably recent novels that focus on starfighter combat? I've read most licensed novels like BSG, SW and WC but want something else especially since the BSG and WC novel lines are dead and SW rarely focuses on starfighter combat any more.

The Saga database says neither weapon wors in an atmosphere. I don't know about the Meson Blaster but in WC IV You fly Hellcats into atmosphere and ficght Hellcats inside the atmosphere and the Particale Cannons work fine so why does Saga state that they wouldn't work in an atmospere?

I was reading the specs of the F-44 Rapier II variants in the encyclopedia and I saw something that IMO makes no sense. According to the encyclopedia the F-44G and F-44H models had their Neutron Guns replaced with Particle Cannons. Why would they do that when the Neutron Guns inflicted more damage?
