Don't install the game through VDMSound. Just install it normally and remember what sound settings you select. Then when you run the game through VDMSound set-up a custom settings using the graphic interface. At least thats how I did it, so there's probably a better way.

I just found this site, having not known there was a way to play WC 3 and 4 on a modern system, I was out of the loop too long. I just installed WC4 on my WinXP machine and the audio is static filled, and the dialogue kind of skips and jumps, is there anyway to fix this?
