BattleTech is a bad game -- don't buy it

I care about the rules as do many others. A game is nothing unless its rules are truly fair and balanced.

BattleTech is a bad game -- don't buy it

What I don't understand is why people defend BattleTech saying its rules are great when many could be improved as many players have pointed out.

prisoners, capships, and fighters should be saved

Why do some of you not want prisoners, fighters, and capships to be saved? I've read those Kilrathi Codexes. But I think many Kilrathi would just ignore them and choose to surrender. I can't imagine a bunch of Kilrathi blindly following the will of the Emperor. The missiles would be...

prisoners, capships, and fighters should be saved

So we agree that prisoners, fighters, and capships, and space stations should be saved, right? So if Origins or whoever decides to remake WC games, they should include a way to capture all them right? Also, if there is going to be another game made, they should have some kind of logistics...

Fighter pilots targeting objects going thousands of km/hr

I don't understand how fighter pilots have enough time to pilot their fighters to line up their guns onto another fighter moving thousands of kilometers per hour. It just seems impossible.

BattleTech is a bad game -- don't buy it

Just remember all the rules they could have written better but have deliberately refused to do so. They won't listen to good reliable balanced ideas when they're proven they'll work.

    codenames for DRT & flashpack

From what I've observed, fighters & ships can be visually spotted before they come within sensor range. Thus the blackfuel would be effective. The blackfuel increases and decreases propulsion similar to the space shuttle. Do you know how the fuel for a space shuttle works? Fuel exits out of...

    codenames for DRT & flashpack

Actually, the blackfuel makes perfect sense. The blackfuel camoflauges with the darkness & coldness of space. This is to avoid visual and infrared detection -- this would prevent heat seekers from hitting objects that use blackfuel. Also, I think a person could easily spot a spaceship several...

    codenames for DRT & flashpack

What exactly is stupid and foolish in regards to everything I've posted?

    codenames for DRT & flashpack

While you are at it, I was thinking that you could use a codename too. From now on, your codename is "Stupid Fool". Why exactly do you think I'm a stupid fool?

BattleTech is a bad game -- don't buy it

The reason why you haven't found any Star Adventure 4010 websites is because the people who created Star Adventure 4010 haven't made any yet. Also, some BattleTech players talk about hurting and/or killing other BattleTech players. Thus the BattleTech game system is nothing but scum.

BattleTech is a bad game -- don't buy it

Furthermore, BattleTech game playtesters are not credible people and I can prove it. Years back, a question was asked if it would be ok to use 1/2 a point of Edge to reroll a 2D6 roll for a new event only if the previous event was kept and played. The playtester said it would unbalance the...

BattleTech is a bad game -- don't buy it

It would be a fun game if people could use whatever tech they wanted. It would also be a balanced game because people who salvage ClanTech (or Kilrathi or Confed Tech or whatever tech they're salvaging) will be able to use the tech for the next battle. The way I see it, if people just...

    codenames for DRT & flashpack

I was thinking that the various weapons (DRT used against Telamonders & flashpack) could use some codenames, so I came up with these -- DRT could be called Dragon's Droppings, flashpack could be called Dragon's Breath

BattleTech is a bad game -- don't buy it

Actually, Kurita is not like modern day Japan. Kurita is more like Old Imperial Japan. Modern day Japan gives equal rights to women in all aspects of life including politics. Kurita does not. In BTech, I think that's basically the way it is -- segregation of races in regards to marriage...

BattleTech is a bad game -- don't buy it

This is not a something vs. something thread; this is a something vs. nothing thread and I can prove it. Wing Commander takes place in the future and reflects the U.S. form of government. BattleTech takes place in the future and does not reflect the U.S. form of government. In BattleTech...

I might not be back here for awhile

Friends, I've just gotten a busy schedule with my new job so I don't know if I can be coming back here as often, perhaps if ever. I'll also be cancelling my internet subscription soon.

    Tolwyn...like Bush?

Here's a link: http://www.grahamhancock.com/phorum/read.php?f=2&i=36745&t=36745 Bush, Tolwyn, Hitler parallels 1) Tolwyn called the clash between the Border Worlds & Confed a war -- remember when Dekker captured Tolwyn and Tolwyn told Blair "we're at war". 3) Tolwyn created the...

Destroying the Vesuvius's turrets in WCIV

In the novel The Price of Freedom, it states how that a frigate was destroyed by the Vesuvius's main battery and how that there are secondary batteries. In the game The Price of Freedom, there is no main battery on the Vesuvius, there's only turrets.

Destroying the Vesuvius's turrets in WCIV

In Mission 36, I use my fighter to ram the Vesuvius and it gets destroyed that way. But when I play the mission again, conventional weapons don't seem to do anything.
