ok. Basically, it was the sound card. I set the IRQ or DMA wrong, or something like that. Make sure that they are set to what DOSBox emulates! I can't remember off the top of my head, but it should be in the documentation somewhere, and privateer doesnt default to those very settings. Heck...

Well, in a sense the Academy animated series was about blair's early years in the academy, BUT they left the academy early for 'field training' or somesuch, AND it wasn't to respectful of the whole series' timeline (like Jazz dieing at the end of the series, BEFORE WC2 HAPPENS)

MyJemm never works for me... just says 'error code: 2' when i start up, and the credits, and doesnt work beyond that. If i drag and drop priv or privater onto it, it says it 'cant load vjemm.vxd Im on windows ME, which it supposedly has been tested under. Whats wrong?

Ive always wondered what they do. They normally are the first system to go on my ship in WC1 and 2 (they dont seem to be in the later episodes though). I personally havent seen any changes in the performance of my ship, so i felt that maybe i should ask here.

It says win95 and MSDOS, but only because win98 and after hadn't been made then. The game itself runs fine. And for the record, WC3 detected the jostick (albeit poorly) as an MS-DOS game. Now that i think of it, i'll try running WC4 in MS-DOS...... Wow, it detected, and properly...
