    A Mixed species special unit

It was a human/Kilrathi Marine Unit that was called The Spine Snappers; I don't exactly remember where but I think it was in some fan fiction; I do recall not only did it have that colorful name but even the human members would pray to Sivar before going into battle (talk about proper...

    The 'real origins' of Hobbes' nickname;

Gang: Yeah, I'm sure it's supposed to be the philosopher but doesn't anybody think he got his name from the Imaginary friendly tiger from the comic strip Calvin & Hobbes? TiA NM

When did Kilrathi ship design change?

I SORELY lack the skills and the imagination for such a task; I'm gonna leave it to better tech people than myself...so far I consider myself lucky to find the 'on/off' switch on my PC-- :-)

When did Kilrathi ship design change?

I figure then that anybody who wants to create their own missions/campaign can 'redesign' the early Kilrathi ship models so they conform with the 'angles, points & blades' of the later styles?

When did Kilrathi ship design change?

Thanks; I figured it had something to do with the 'tech' that was available. I look forward to whatever 'playable' comes next-be it FS2-open based, or not...and why not, the war lasted 30+++ years, I'm sure there are plenty of stories, short and long that can be created.

When did Kilrathi ship design change?

Thanks; Thanks; The evil shoeboxes simply seem a bit more alien in their design-the older generation of craft seem too 'conventional'--I wasn't wondering about the game engine supporting the design I was more wondering if making those sharp, blade like angles & points were a 'new' feature; it...

When did Kilrathi ship design change?

Gang: I ain't played WC1,2 OR 4 Just a bit of WC 3, and all of Prophecy & Saga; I've been watching other players do play throughs (WC1, 2 & 'Standoff' for ex) and it occurred to me: when did Kats change their ship models from the 'conventional' & somewhat bulbous shapes (see the Kamekh...

The Balance of Power in WC

So then, a cross between The Pacific War and 'Cold War Hot'.

The Balance of Power in WC

Well both sides were exhausted until a million fresh US troops flooded onto the continent--they were pitched into battle using much the same tactics as 1914-1917...but of course that doesn't count in WC Universe; anyway, I recall from earlier fiction that even Thrakath was worried about the...

The Balance of Power in WC

Guys: I know that the Confed/Kilrathi War is supposed to be kind of 'The Pacific War--IN SPAAAACE!!' But how would you 'weigh' the two sides? In the Pacific War, Japan's industrial & manpower resources were quite inferior to the US but had relatively small but very experienced combat seasoned...

World War Two Two, Book Two (March 22, 2008)

Well now...IF the Mobil Fleet had the fuel to do it why not? Now IF they happen to knock out the Oil Storage facilities AND the Drydocks at Pearl then the Pacific fleet is gonna have REAL trouble going on the offensive; As for Carriers, Wasn't Lexington ferrying F4F Wildcats to Wake Island AND...
