    Not much new progress to report. I got quite a ways on 1.7, but then my computer died. All the files are recovered, but I still haven't gotten a new one yet. I suppose I could release a 1.7 beta, but it would be a while before I had any time to work on new features. Sorry.

    I believe its assigned in an xml file, don't remember off the top of my head. Check campaign.xml or constants.xml or settings.xml, it should be in there some where. You can't change the cutscene, but you can change the pickup ship.

    Sorry, the hud locations are fixed. This is because it takes quite a few equations to try to generate nice looking huds for any arbitrary video resolution.

    Right, so FC doesn't handle camera-facing weapons (appearance 1). FC only does beams or meshes. I've handled this by just making a spherical mesh myself (like for the mass drivers). And FC doesn't scale meshes, but that's something one could do with a 3d program usually, if you have the .obj...

    Yes I see the problem. FC expects each material to have a .bmp texture. It doesn't handle just painted polygon meshes

    If you could please send me the files for a problematic model with multiple textures, I can take a look. I should also add that the bitmaps don't have to be 256x256. They just have to be a power of 2 on each side.

    There's no need to use a single texture file. Objs can have .mtl files, which allow you to use multiple textures on a single model.

    Yeah, by luck it does, but it will probably just use the first image of the animated gif. But you lose the alpha channel with animated gifs. So I prefer pngs. Be careful with what you extract, some mats have a transparency channel, but there's usually a corresponding lower-quality mat missing...
