WC's best fighter and bomber of all time

Me neither. It happened when I was playing the other day, and I was trying to work out if something wasn't working right, but couldn't find anything.

    Wrath of Khan

Well, I was actually thinking of the sound of the missiles whistling down towards them. Going back to what I said before about perspective, since the scene is inside the Tiger Claw and the viewer hears the sound, it implies to me that the people you're sharing the perspective with (the...

Battlestar Glactica the remake - not good for everyone?

Bit of a surprise what it did do, wasn't it? :)

Battlestar Glactica the remake - not good for everyone?

The biggest thing I miss in the new Battlestar Galactica is the Centurions saying, "By your command." There's one scene in Season 3 where a skin-job gives one an order, face to face, and I was thinking, "Yes, it's finally going to say it!" and it didn't. :(

    Wrath of Khan

Yeah, although the cause of the sound is there - it just doesn't travel anywhere as there's nothing to conduct it. As the viewer, you have a perspective that isn't bound by the laws of physics, so it's okay for you to hear it. It's only unrealistic if characters in the movie/TV show hear it...

    Movies to see

Hot Fuzz is awesome! :D The DVD's out fairly soon. I'm looking forward to Bourne, Transformers, Fantastic 4 (I didn't like the first one that much, but hey... it's Jessica Alba), Die Hard 4.0 and Pirates. I quite liked Spider-man 3, though I prefered the first two. I found 3 to be a bit...

    Post Your Desk(top)!

Dude, you're still on AOL? I remember talking to you on there almost 10 years ago, hehe. :) Anyhow, this is my work desk:

Size and other questions, Kilrathi & Ships

I ph34r the Gratha. Awesome work. :) The guns housing reminds me of ED209, strangely.

WC's best fighter and bomber of all time

Yeah, I like the silver, green and red design on the WC1 Scimitar. I dunno, it wasn't as bad as everyone makes out. The same way I prefer the extra punch of the Raptor over the Rapier, I do prefer flying the Scimitar to the Hornet. Those Mass Drivers and two extra Heat Seekers make up for...

    WC booze

My friends and I call Jack Daniels and Red Bull a Hell's Kitchen. The colour is about right. :)

    Behemoth Crew Compliment?

I love it when he sniffs his armpit before talking to Doctor Brody. :)

    Wrath of Khan

Well, photon torpedoes can have variable yield, which calls into the question the validity of comparing torpedo strikes from other films. It's possible that Khan, having planned exactly how he was going to attack the Enterprise, had adapted the torpedo, sacrificing range (which he knew he...

Now THAT looks like a Kilrathi

Random thought, but could you fill a supersoaker with catnip...? :)

    Behemoth Crew Compliment?

... which happens to be my Live Messenger display name at the moment, hehe. :) Another of my favourites from WC3 would be Maniac whispering, "women like the smell of success" or the end of that scene: Maniac: We both know who's better in the cockpit. Blair: Yeah... we do. I adored...

    Gameplay question for WC1

I found the target track was the first thing to go on WC1 & 2. Normally it's annoying not being able to lock a target, but I remember being amused when that happened fighting Strakhas, because it doesn't really matter then, heh. To this day, I keep Claw Marks handy on my bookshelf, not in...

    The 5 Deadliest Pilots

Having been playing WC2 again, I have to say Shadow's pretty good. Well, until she dies, anyway. But up to that point, she's really something, though she's fighting easier ships, obviously.

    Behemoth Crew Compliment?

Oh definitely, though, "What price freedom, Admiral?" still sends tingles down my spine more than anything else. Hehe, it would make for quite a comical scene, wouldn't it? The Victory and Behemoth fight their way to Kilrah and the Captain of the Behemoth lines up for his shot... and...

WC's best fighter and bomber of all time

Ooh, I don't remember that. Okay, fair enough then.

WC's best fighter and bomber of all time

True, there would have been little reason to decommission the ones they had. It's just unlikely they would have built more. Also, not to be pedantic, but the Vampire can't carry torpedoes or flashpaks, just going back to the multi-role advantage of the Dragon. I think a lot of it comes...

    Your All-Times Favorites

Roughly in the order I first played them (in some cases, a long time after they'd come out, eg. WC Academy): BBC Micro Space Maze (forget AvP2, Doom 3 or F.E.A.R., this is still the scariest game I've ever played) Stryker's Run (written by Chris Roberts, no less!) Codename: Droid Elite...
