Who is this 'Chris Pine' ? Is it supposed to be (Captain) Christopher Pike? Looking forward to the movie.. I've managed to learn surprising little about it thus far.. aside from a few spoilers that make me wish I could punch a writer or two in the face..

I reinstalled Privateer fairly recently on my Vista64 lappy and (using DosBox 0.72) was able to set up my Xbox 360 controller to play it.. it took a fair amount of trial and error.. but I can perform most major spaceflight functions on the controller. 0.72 has some key mapping functionality...

Maybe it generates a grav field that makes (fugly) fighters "fall" when you push them off the edge of the flight deck? :rolleyes:

Well.. the fin could be part of a long range comm array.. or some sort of active or passive scanning system.. it could house EM jamming gear.. There are any number of techno-babbly reasons for having it.. personally, I like the fin..:D Awesome job on both ships Howard! Thanks for putting...

I downloaded it :) I'd give it a solid "OK", decent melody, but seems to lack.. I dont know.. a "hook" of some kind.. but then again, I am not the most musically inclined.. or diverse person in the world. But, I definitely did not think it was bad.. and I'm usually pretty quick to say...

Holy frak that is sexy! :) And I like the "Goblin" monker.. if I recall, the Goblin had no landing gear either.. You know.. now that I do a GIS for the Goblin fighter (Mc Donnell XF-85).. I can't help but think it looks a bit like the Rapier from that movie.. Anyway.. Awesome job...

I like that fighter quite a bit.. for some reason, I always assumed that the wingtip thrusters could rotate like on the Vampire.. as well as slide in and out to a limited degree.. I also could see the the dorsal and ventral.. um.. pods (maybe weapons, maybe engines) sliding/folding backwards...

Setting or no, I think this design (which I like A LOT) is much less Anime and much closer to the WC style than some of the others.. perhaps this was some of Feng's later work (I don't know).. after he had heard some whining from other, more traditional WC team members.. or not.. who knows...

I have to agree with Sean.. while I *love* Feng's art, a lot of it never felt right to me.. some did.. I freaking love the Kat Cruiser.. but *SOME* of his Confed Cruiser and Fighter designs just felt too Anime to me.. and I like Anime..
