You know, I never did play Starlancer on the DC either. It might be worth it just so I can play through the game without the annoying crashes. It was amazing to me that a game that buggy, that was a Microsoft prodect no less, would never have a patch written for it.

WC2 SO1 problems I unzipped Special Ops and tried running it, but it crashes before it ever gets started. I have tried various compatibility modes. Any suggestions? WC 2 KS was just fine.

I downloaded the file and changed the extension to .zip, but it is still a text file.

I guess I should have mentioned that this is the Deluxe version of Privateer 2. It does recognize my joystick, it just does not work very well at all.

Yes, I typed "loadfix -65 priv" as my executable. I set EMS to "false" in the config also.

I have everything set up, joystick enabled, and I type "Priv" and it goes to load, and then it crashes and I get the "JEMM Unloaded" message. What does that mean? Do I need to mess around with the config file some more?

I have Privateer 2 installed (Deluxe version) and I am trying to get my joystick calibrated correctly so I don't have to use the mouse. The joystick is all screwy though. The cursor is stuck in the bottom right corner in the deadzone calibration screen. I tried adjusting it with the - and =...

How come it's asking me to calibrate joystick 2 after I calibrate the only joystick I have plugged in? Is it because my keyboard is USB? Sorry this turned into a tech question.

Wow, that's great. I can't believe I am playing Privateer again. I had been thinking about putting together sort of a "legacy" machine for the old DOS games, but I guess I don't have to now. I just wush that I could get WC 3 KS to work right. I know a lot of people are having freezing issues...

Man, I am loving this program. I have pulled out some very old classic like Spirit of Excalibur and some of the Wing Commander games. I still have not figured out how to get Privateer to work yet, but I am working on it.

Same for me....it never crashes in-flight. The problem is that it freezes up my whole system and I can't return to the desktop. If I could get back to the desktop it would not bother me at all, I would just load a saved game. Having to reboot my system is, shall we say, most inconvenient

When my game freezes, it seems like it is always when I drag my mouse cursor to move around the ship....i.e. going from the bridge to the elevator and such. I don't understand why it is a sporadic problem. Other than that, the game runs great. There has to be a way around this. I wish HCI could...
