The Demon needs nerfing (I keep telling but they won't let me... lol).
This said, I think your best bet to beat that mission is with wingmen, in a Galaxy.
Why a Galaxy? Turrets. Hit CTRL+W and your turrets start shooting at the closest enemy target. Plus, if you want to nail someone hit...

Should we have them? (It would basically be a drayman or other small capship variant. I would think). I wrote the AI after playing Starscape a bit too much.
Basically some textures in an older are damaged. I never got around to replacing them and deleted them in newr updates, so they may still be there. Culprits are likely to be the confed texture for New Const and Perry (which is no longer needed anyway) and some of the extra Galaxy textures.
What if I build a big steel mesh (like a cube made of girders) and put it at the jump point? To the very least, if someone jumps in it'll explode and act like a f*in huge shrapnel bomb.
Well, that's bsaically what they do in the movie. What I would do is to send a small squadron of fighter-bombers the "long" way around, come in from another jump point, and do a torpedo run on the guarding ships -- even if it does not succeed, it should be enough to cause them to scatter enough...
Agreed with -- the only thing I can tell is that I'm doing some coding here and there, I have no idea!
dan_w is doing systems, you and feline are doing art, Brad finished a really spiffy Kamekh, and I don't know what else.
yeppers.... basically since WCU at this point is very much a work in progress, tarsus.begin is whatever ship I worked on last. Plus I wanted to show off the cockpit :)
(not my work, but you have to admit it IS very cool)
Jumps and aferburnets generally work a lot different in Priv than anywhere else, mostly because anywhere else jumps mostly just happened to the player, with some exceptions -- in Priv the player happens to jumps. :)
I propose that in this respect we:
(1) Stick to Priv jump point wise.
(2)...
VS indeed does not like factions who can own systems to not have capships. I came up with a paradigm-style corvette to give the Militia this far (Confeds occasionally have it as well in a shinier livery), but that's obviously temporary.
