Okay. Hobbes WAS stationed at Claw. That's true.
But Blair is VERY UNFRIENDLY toward him even in WC2 (at least in the beginning).
Do you imagine his attitude during WC1?
I hope I do. And I can't imagine ANYTHING Blair would be glad to remember.
WC2 times? Yes. He would miss that time when he...
Spirit's a good friend.
Spirit is a first wingman.
It is truly something to be remembered and never forgotten.
But do you really say than in WC1 any wingman was of any use? (I am not saying about blowing a Salthi in a Raptor ;) Any WC1 wingman would do that sooner or later :) )
Ummm...
I mean - I can't find any indicator of enemy shields.
Armor status - it's easy. Red is blown up. Green is okay.
But the shields? The target screen doesn't change while I am punching enemy shields, and then suddenly the armor is red. It's not that I can't live without shield indicator...
So...Mandarins are PATRIOTS?
How very interesting...
Never looked at them from this point of view.
Thanks a lot for the info. It'll surely give birth to some new fanfics of my friends :)
Best wingman?
Let me thinks...
WC1: Nobody :) Once you pass the first two missions - enemy becomes too aggressive for your poor wingmen to be of any use. Except for Iceman, maybe :) I do remember killing those three Fralthi in SM2.
You do kill all Jalthi's except the last one, and order Iceman...
Okay. Crossbow's A BIT faster. A BIT MORE nimble. I mean - compared to Broadsword.
But when did 20 clicks count as savior for a bomber? Do they make it a dogfighter? Sure they won't. You can't burn and go - 20 clicks are nothing when a single Drakhri is biting your tail from a safe distance...
By the way, can anyone explain me how to see enemy shields state in WCIV?
Had always flown without the knowledge, and somehow survived (Though never succeeded in levels higher than ACE).
But if someone knows - I'd certainly love an explanation.
Andrew Keith and Ben Ohlander ?
Ummm...
Sorry :(
They were never mentioned in russian edition.
So it was THEM who did all that mess... I see :)
And still.
Blair, who wasn't afraid of Thrakhath, who wasn't afraid of Tolwyn, who was always the force for justice... He would never be afraid of any...
But those mercenaries were murderers for sure! That's why Lynn asks you to defend the mining base.
Those mercenaries kill everyone who'll happen to be there. Isn't this murdering?
That's bad news about Confeds...
It they're seeing killing murderers (and I won't call those mercenaries another word) as a crime...
Poor confed, I'd say.
One more outlaw in Gemini since today ;)
And theirs Stilettos and Broasdwords are no match for fully equipped Orion and even Galaxy.
In the WC4 novel (I've only succeeded in finding Russian translation) the patrol which is killed by Theether in the first chapter, flies Arrows.
In the WC4 novel there's no word about Banshees, Vindicators and Avengers
In the WC4 novel Sosa choses Blair, not Catscratch
In the WC4 novel...
Still, the Academy years aren't THAT important.
For the future relations between Chris and Todd their time on the 'Claw wouldn't be more than enough?
IMHO - it would sure be.
So it's a pity that Origin decided to cripple the story that way (Not mentioning the hated colouring of ships in WC-II...
Yeah, that's true.
But he says 'Glad to meet ya, I am Maniac".
And Shotglas is teaching you about Maniac as if Todd's here for some months...
Stupid Shotglas? ;)
... and no ship (Except the despised Epee) has killed more pilots than Crossbow.
Well, maybe Talon did. But Talon's a civilian ship, so it is another story.
But Crossbow...
No burn, no side turrets, no chance to evade an attack once it not so mighty shields are blown...
Later modifications of...
Such a question:
How are we supposed to explain "glad to meet ya" said by Maniac in WC1, while in all the later WC's we are told the were classmates?
Throw away WC1?
Or ignore this mismatch with later WC's ?
True enough - having or having not the Imrecs really makes difference out there. But... if a Tarsus (which is the most primitive and outdated design) can change its loadout, why Hellcats and Thunderbolts, which are much more fresh - can't?
Yeah, just line up to go to Claw's "face", and decelerate to 100 approximately, for autolinker is somewhat glitchy, it just can "not notice you", so that you fighter will ram the Claw, and 100 kps is the speed which ensures your survival.
And as for Blair and Maniac at 11th and 14th place int the list...
Who are those from 1st to 10th top aces?
It there any info about it? Or is it just mentioned somewhere in official info without details given?
Hello to everyone. It's me again.
Today's question is:
What do confed pilot wear under flight suits.
Do they have some special uniform for flight?
Do they get stripped before the flight?
Any ideas on subject?
