    abnormal swabbie action?

Phst, why do I even try to argue with you on points about Latin History Quatro? :) Actually, because of the methodology of elections, one of Rome's fears may have been defection, but it wasn't one of their chief ones. The process of election was the courting of favor, through giving...

    abnormal swabbie action?

It is the normal topic drift, and Raptor's most certainly right, it just happens-all the time. ;) But pygmypiranha, I'm just trying to learn more about history. (I'm attempting to get my masters, and maybe a Dr. in History/History Education, so I love to learn about this stuff. :) ) And...

Guys, we should reanimate WC !

If I remember right, you can chose to use a joystick, but the game will be more set up for the mouse-clicking thing. (I think it's because most people aren't nuts like us, and treat/use our joysticks as extensions of our bodies. :) ) But I think it's like junior said, and it's your choice...

    For the Gents

I agree it would make you fight harder, but it'd make your mental state all the more into question (leading to a possible psych discharge) should your significant other be killed. (All the more if she/he was on a carrier you were trying to protect/save.)

    Next WC game

I think it'd probably be better to finish the story with Casey first. However, I'm a stout advocate of a game, done in perhaps a Civilization fashion (although I don't think that would be the best way, I'm fighting for an example here), that would allow us to play as the Kilrathi during their...

    For the Gents

I think he said he had a reason for it, but I haven't read the books in so long I can't tell you. (Something about a commanding officer not supposed to date someone under him? Or something of the sort.)

    abnormal swabbie action?

Oh, I agree with you-it's not like they just teleport, but you can't forget that Coretz wasn't the ONLY person to get there. In a 20 year period, 95% of the population had been killed through war and disease. (While that wouldn't have had a "oh, let's go attack the huge populace that died from...

That's kinda hard to say. Realistically it was more the Russians than the Allies that defeated the Nazis, but it was the Allies who tied up a good portion of Hitler's resources once he lost the campaign into Russia. I don't think there really is a good historical referance there. (Because, as...

    The Best Wing Commander Battle

Oh, I completely agree with you, I'm just trying to give up suggestions on possibilities. (Although I don't honestly think I'd like my route.) And I also agree with TC, you'd have to keep the nav points "too far from each other," which would also detract from the effect.

    Captain To the Bridge

Wow, that's a toss-up between the Vesuvius and the Cerberus. As much as I love the firepower, agility, and general capabilities of the Vesuvius, I think I'll go with Cerberus. If only because that means that I'll be the one running from battle to battle, and slipping into enemy territory.

    Who runs the Homeworlds?

I'd tend to agree with that. Too much bureaucracy is a bad thing, after all. Especially on such a massive scale. :)

Oh I too loved Tolwyn, he was incredibly intelligent and capable. My only problem with that, although I do agree with your Raptor, was that I don't think he intended to do it to ALL the planets. (He realized that you need people for the economy/infrastructure, etc.)

    abnormal swabbie action?

Um, no. I hate to say, that if Europeans had arrived, their diseases had assuredly come with. (The problem with traveling at the time was the food/water shortages and disease. It's months of voyage, not a week.) While yes, he DIDN'T know he was bringing the disease, the fact that he sees 2/3 of...

    abnormal swabbie action?

Despite his ruthlessness, or perhaps because of it, once the war got started, Cortez was actually rather effective. He knew how, and when to strike at a place once disease had overtaken the population, and exactly how to keep the Aztec's worried about fixing their own public works than in...

    Nubien

I'll agree with you, I haven't read it in a while either, but I think they were Tolwyn's first line of defense to twart their takeover plot.

    Happy Birthday Loaf!

I'd have gotten ya a gift, but I seem to be fresh out of crazy non-known Japanese items from WC. ;)

They weren't really trying to kill billions of people within the Confederation though, they were trying to kill the Border Worlders. (Which were a seperate group at the time.) Although I think your right, he did say something about hiding them to fight the Belsarius (or however ya spell that...

    abnormal swabbie action?

But then again, you wouldn't assume such a small exbedition force would topple an empire of millions of people either. (Even if it was generally from disease.) So things such as killing him wouldn't be ENTIRELY out of the realm of possibility. (Although I do think it is more likely that he was...

    another movie or no?

And to cut off your, probable, question-no one knows what the show will end up being about. (Although, if I gathered correctly, most people around here think it will be over the Kilrathi war-the best possible answer.) Although I'm sure there will be an update on the info section if something...
