in Wing commander 1, I used to ram things until one of my guns was destroyed, then I'd cut lose with the single gun left- I always seemed to get more hits and more kills that way, not to mention it sounded freaking hilarious....it's like my rapier is jumped on speed or something!

The features of the WC Academy ships is great, but you guys made it a point to say the Sivar dreadnought had three times the amount of shielding as a vessel of matching size... Now, my question is, what's the point of all the shielding, when a single locked torpedo will cut through any amount...

I didn't mean to start a ship roles argument- didn't we just havea topic about that? I'm not saying the Plunkett wasn't useful, but it did have a glaring weakness...oh well. :) Not many threats left out there right now it would seem.

I hated the plunkett class boats. Those tiny little bars connecting the three sections of ship were a definate weak point...one lucky shot with a decently powerful weapon and you can blast the ship into two pieces!
