    WC:CD Carrier, Transport?

Is anyone else reminded of the black lance 'sport from WC4?

Todd & Rosy - a sad story, indeed

I liked Wilson's version of Maniac the best. Lillard was okay, I actually liked him in the without a paddle movie (which was really only okay, but whatever...) Most movie's have some good comic relief, and Wilson provided that in WC 3 and 4, and I would imagine that this was more a result of...

What mode did you fly in?

I never really liked the way that the fighters rolled in Wing Commander, I guess I'm just too used to normal jet sims. The rolling turn seemed more natural to me.

    Eisen's Service Record?

Although I think Eisen was talented, Tolwyn probably left him in charge partly because of his simple familiarity with the way the ship operated. Also, I gathered that the reassignments were less crew related, and more pilot related. I don't think Rollins was a new assignment, although I'll...

What mode did you fly in?

I don't know if this has been discussed before, but in WC's 3 and 4 (and possibly prophecy, I don't remember) You had the option of changing the way you ship handled in the options menu. 1) You could make it so that when you turned left, the ship also rolled a bit (I think this was the...

What actually happened at K'Tithrak Mang?

I don't know that it is that unusual for Wing Commander (particularly the Tiger's Claw). You may remember that in Freedom Flight, Hunter is sent on a lone patrol when they are looking for the Ras'nikrah. I think they do single fighter patrols for when they need to defend a large perimeter.

Space Marshall Tolwyn ... ever fool?

Kind of a typical bad guy storyline to me... Tolwyn wanted to convert Blair over to his way of thinking. He made a tactical error in choosing Blair, but I really believed that he thought that Blair was a lock to joining the cause. Remember, Blair wasn't the only war hero Tolwyn wanted to...

    "Treaty" Navy

Yeah, but I think renegade warlords don't qualify as part of the Kilrathi fleet :)

WC4 is harder than I recall!!??

I always put the drunken flying wc3 mission as one of the hardest. Even when you aren't drunk, facing off against 8 Vaktoth's with 2 arrows was not cool. Especially when Hobbes ejects 5 seconds into the mission.

    Save the Behemoth.

So you can actually beat the mission? This is pretty interesting :) Did you fly there manually, or were you able to autopilot?

    Gamal Gan/Bonnie Heather

Isn't there a way to compare size in the engine itself? Out of curiosity, did the Concordia-class carrier ever have a designated lenght/mass? Also, was there ever a specific reason for it to only have 9 turrets, instead of the 11 on the Victory? I always thought that was a little strange...

Handgun Differences WC-1/WC-2 and WC-4 (Please Read)

Doesn't Blair get disintegrated by a gun on the losing path of WC3 (the please don't kill me option :) )

Handgun Differences WC-1/WC-2 and WC-4 (Please Read)

This probably doesn't really relate to Wing Commander too much, but I do remember reading something (I think it was a science news, IIRC) that said that it takes a massive amount of energy to actually disintegrate and entire person. I should try and find that article again...

"Dirty rotten boat i wouldn't even spit at!"

I think the tin can thing is an old navy expression, but my theory is really only based on things like this: The Last Stand of the Tin Can Sailors: The Extraordinary World War II Story of the U.S. Navy's Finest Hour (Paperback) Tales From a Tin Can: The USS Dale from Pearl Harbor to Tokyo...

    The most famous WC ship

History also often mentions the USS Missouri, which never to my knowledge has been mentioned in participation of any large battles. However, they mention it because it was the site of the official Japanese surrender. Remember, Melek signs the Kilrathi Surrender on the deck of the Victory.
