We were not able to change the base interfaces, it's a limitation of the vegastrike engine we are using but someone is currently working on it and i'm confident to have this feature available in the near future which includes also the Quine :)

I've here a pretty long textfile with questions and feature request to hellcat about changes for Gemini Gold since Privateer Remake 1.0 was released, so it's not just graphics and things you can buy; it's A LOT more work you'll see when you dig into the GG sources or feel when you play it ;)...

To start the game in windowed mode open up the file vegastrike config and change the line: #set Color full_32 to: #set Color win_32

The firewall only prevents that the game loads it has nothing to do with the radar. What do you mean with "running in "windowed" did not get any pop up message"? What popup message? The game window does not popup when you start it or what?

What video card do you have?

Do you use the newest graphic drivers? Have you altered your installation? Do you have ~100MB free swapspace on the partition where you play the game from?

That is quite difficult to do, there will be very little changes in 1.01. The Tarsus is "transparent". It depends on the artist who textures the galaxy if it will be transparent again personally i can live without it :) Look i wonder why the one who textured the model the first time...

If the solution described at http://priv.solsector.net/faq.htm does not help your intel card could be too old. Take a look into the computer's manual. You could ask at http://www.crius.net/zone/forumdisplay.php?f=3 or just use Google.

Try to update your graphic card driver.

The bug will be fixed in 1.01.

indeed it has but we need an appropriate one. It just does not look like Wing Commander.
