    Medals and promotoins in wc1

Those look right, but don't mean much unless you know the numbers for promotion and medals. I don't know if I can find those.

Band of Brothers: Chapter Eight- - Ascension...

The price of travel...could it be covered by, say inheritance? Is the average income influenced by a war-weakened economy, or has Confed fully recoverd?

    XanMovie

You what's really irritating, Q, is when you remember things like that from childhood when you can't remember all the important things you did which were really fun. Thanks for repeating that sorry excuse for a song's name.:(

    WC III for 3DO

I don't have the 3DO version, but I've read there is no power distribution, so I assume you don't have the same slide capability with the Arrow and Excalibur. You don't even get a turret in the Longbow! I've read there are gun platforms and there is a different name for the Heavy Destroyer...

    Concordia

Destroying a colony and destroying a heavily armoured capitol ship are different things. The refinement, therefore, has to be at least as powerfull as a chunk of antimatter or a small thermonuclear device. Was I reading wrong, but is it true that a gram of antimatter costs nearly 5 trillion...

    Medals and promotoins in wc1

It's been so long since I've played WC1 that I don't recall for sure, but I think you have to get a certain point value to get a medal. Each medal corresponds to a kill value. I don't remember each ships value nor the medal requirements, but I've finished WC with at least two "Pewter Planets"...

    Female fans...

My reading on this has been that girls would rather talk on the phone/chat or read a horror book/watch a thriller, than spend hours vanquishing computer foes. Maybe there's something else going that I'm not aware of, but I think this is most of the reason.

    Concordia

So Maniac was just being his usual manic self when he dreamed about a ship larger than any he'd ever seen, that makes sense...I wonder, though, why Blair described the ship as huge and bristling with guns. In any case, the PTC mounted on the Confederations was a "refinement" on a similar weapon...

    Concordia

The PTC was too large to be mounted on any other ship than the Confederation-dreadnought, was it not? Given the KS manual errors, I've taken dates as well as stats with a hearty grain of salt.

If the date is accurate, that would be when the Kilrathi weapon first entered service. A year for field testing a new weapon isn't uncommon. Hey Q, I haven't had time to work on it at all. Perhaps over the holidays I can get back to overhauling it. Right now I'm starting a novel of sorts...

Penquin, while Kilrathi believe war is psycholgical, I somehow doubt they'd be impressed. Q, the PTC formed the keel, but I imagine refit would be akin to a moderate overhaul. It's not exactly like the Behemoth, which is built to only be a gun. Maybe I ought to write a story about such a...

    Concordia

I thought the structure at the bow was a weapon tracking system of sorts or a secondary bridge. Hey Q, how about you carve out the PTC and replace it with a forward and aft lauch tube plus a couple deck elevators. Bolt on some heavy turrets, and you'd be better off.

    WC3/WC4 keyboard question

Pliars didn't tweak the hell out of the beams like he said he did, so park in front of the object in question, switch to your turret's view, type "g" then target your pod and fire, the blue beam will grab whatever it hits, maintain until you hear a latching sound.

    There's a what?

I don't have a four-acre field to play in anymore but I do have a nice sized lake. Unfortunately, I have no Cesium to spare, but Magnesium is readily available.

    There's a what?

That's one of my points. The least he could have done if you talked to him was put you in his will or at least give you financial advice.

    There's a what?

If it changed the game other than how Dallas reacts towards you, it would be enough. Most people I know don't care about plot at all, so the "Esc" key gets used a lot. Me, if I pay any amount for a game, it will have dialog to some degree, and usually have some goal other than blow things up...

    Similator within a simulator

If you've gotten Maverick in the alien gauntlet, you're doing alright. Q, isn't defending the Midway a proper enough objective?

    Need a Hand...

What are you supposed to do? Play until you win, of course. Take the Salthi out with guns only, then burn in towards the Ralari and you use missile/gun combinations to quickly take down those Gratha from the rear. Just remember to order Bossman in to help.

    Legacy of Hobbes

Q, I don't think Thrak would go through so much trouble for GK. The GK situation seemed to need a short-term plan to regain control. Thrak probably waited many years because he knew it would be more beneficial to have a defector in place for such an occasion as the end of the war, where Ralgha...
