    At Great Lengths

"And why bother anyway, they're bugs!" Even the Kilrathi were new at one point. Distinguishing a clusterable fighter from a superiority fighter is standard procedure these days.

    Space warship architecture

The Priceton and Lexington both were of the Concordia class. There were no Confederations anywhere in game.

    Wow....

I remember a HellRaiser from a while back. How have you been?

    Red Manta

"However, last time I played it (2 weeks ago) I could've sworn I saw Green Mantas with plasma guns. Am I going nuts?" Standard Manta heavy fighters have a single plasma, as LOAF said.

    Sparks - Mechanic or Tyrant?

Pliars doesn't like the Maniac, so he's OK in my book. The guy came up with an ion-shotgun(scatter cannon). I'd rather listen to his humorous remarks than Rachel's "I promise never to disappoint" innuendo.:)

More RAM does the trick for me. My older computer runs SO better than the newer one, even though it's a little slower, but it has twice the RAM. [Edited by Death's Head on 02-18-2001 at 17:24]

Ongoing WC project about to break out

If we could get better Scim and Gratha, that would be great. Personally, I'd like to see us raiding Kilrathi renegade bases with a sharper looking Dauntless. BTW, that Scim you have is sharp. So much so that instead of denting an Epee during collision, it'd shear off those tissue paper...

    Hardest Mission

"Never saw the Stormfire's, but i can remember the yellow sucker all to well..." The corvette doesn't mount the original Stormfire, it mounts Stormfire Mk. 2s but the kittens do not or cannot load any ammunition.

Ongoing WC project about to break out

Looks like someone will finally be putting his Alliance to work!:) I am especially pleased with the Krant. Keep us informed of any news. Q, Did you get a look at the swarm of Epees? If those had a single heavy rocket on each ship, that listening post would go down faster than flying...

    SO Behavior

Huh, what? You mean the fragile ships? Quarto's been hearing that from the Alien taunts lately. Kind of an inside joke.

The fleet structure of Wing Commander

Vondoom, how do you know in the future humans won't have better reflexes, have better training, and are just all around better fighters? Where'd you get yours, Frosty? I've been thinking about getting a new one, myself in a few months or so.

    SO Behavior

Hey, they still build fragile ships-just ask Quarto.:) Even destroyed, the guns will still fire a small percentage of the time.

    Ever tried this?

Yeah, when I was a kid. Hehe. Does the Kilrathi look like you're staring at him through drunken eyes? I'd lay off those strong Kilrathi drinks for a while, hehe.

The fleet structure of Wing Commander

There are drones around, but smaller ones probably wouldn't have the AI to fight and fly effectively. Basically, you'd have a capship missile with turrets.:)

The fleet structure of Wing Commander

Fighters are indeed a truly signifcant part of modern and conjectural future warfare. In the Star Trek Universe, there are indeed fighters. It goes without saying the reason ST insn't focused entirely on warship locations is the series' main goal isn't to promote violence but encourage...

    Very very sad news

I could rattle off a joke about Gore being a Mandaran but this isn't the place.:)

Reply to this message with new WC ideas

"Perhaps confed only had money to put half hellcats in the Lexington." Nah, if there's a cheap fighter, it'd likely be a 'cat. It's one of three things...The ship was underrepair/reconstruction in the hangar bay. Might have been the Hellcat wasn't tied down and was blown out of the hangar...

What ever happened to the WC4 improvements???

The Vesuvius was launched from sections of scaffolding temporarily joined together. All you'd need, really is a section in the middle to to fit. Adding length to the structure wouldn't be asking to much.

    Wc3 Glitches

TC is correct. The Kilrathi honor is comparable to that of Imperial Japan. Both cultures had to change, however, to survive. Blair was unique because he had attained a certain level of respect. Had he been captured before the bombing, he would have met a warriors death. The only way I see...

What ever happened to the WC4 improvements???

Midway seems larger because it's longer. Vesuvius is 25% heavier.
