Why gray fur? The Cats in the games were always golden-brown or reddish.

    My Tolwyn Essay

LeHah, give me rank and service record before you claim a superior knowledge of military tactics. Until then, all your claims of my ignorance and incompetence are empty hot air. You want an example of Patton's arrogance? Driant. He insisted that they attack and attack, and could not allow...

    My Tolwyn Essay

LeHah: I will call Patton arrogant. Yes, he got the job done, but at a cost that could have been avoided. Too many men died who didn't have too under his command. And hey, it's been a long time since I read the line, gimme a break.

    Excalibur Cockpit Screenshot Required!

Screenshots in KS are notoriously hard, at least on my machines, (I've had two, the first went TU.) They tend to come out really dark and messed-up when you use prtscr.

    My Tolwyn Essay

As for Tolwyn, I would say that he was arrogant, no matter whether he was an excellent commander or not, which he was. So was Patton. His fall didn't happen all at once, either. He survived decades of warfare against a species that lived for it. He fought them so long that he became closer...

    Tolwyn : The Pilot ?!!!

According to the novel Action Stations, Tolwyn started his career as a pilot, as is necessary for those who go on to command carriers in today's navy. Although it may have shown him flying in Walking Wounded, that would be highly unlikely for the commander of a battlegroup, which is what a...

    Steltek

I think it is entirely possible that the Nephilim interrogation seriously affected Blair's mind. The man who talked to Casey after he was rescued was not the Heart of the Tiger we all knew before. Granted, it has been a while since I played the game through, but from what I remember, Blair...

    F-4 in service

In fact, I would daresay that the Tornado is higher up on the food chain than the Phantom, considering that the Tornado is rather newer than the F-4. Israelis do tend to be highly rated combat soldiers, considering that they lived surrounded by countries who had sworn to destroy them, but I...

    Steltek

I never got to finish Privateer, but from everything I have heard, we actually see a Steltek in that game, and it is some sort of lacy, energy-based being. (Anybody knows better, correction would be welcome.) At any rate, it didn't look anything like the bug that we got a good look at when...

New game concept(reposted from another thread)

Blair was a full Colonel, which made him a Commander, Flight Group. No Colonel will be commanding a mere squadron. The terminology changed, as Wing Commander became CAG, and also consider that Prophecy is supposed to be during what is considered peacetime, so procedures are a bit different...

You misunderstand me. I emptied the capacitors, sure, but it only took one firing run.

    Jalthi

Well, if it can hit you, it can do some damage. But it's slow, its sluggish, and I've knocked them down with a single sustained burst with full guns in a Raptor, which is supposed to be an inferior ship.

    Jalthi

All well and good, but it is damn near impossible for a Jalthi to get on your six and stay there for any length of time whatsoever. That thing is seriously overrated.

    Question: WC1 characters

By the way, I believe that Spirit's name is Mariko Tanaka, not the other way around. She is Japanese, and I believe that Japanese names follow the same model as European names, i.e. personal name first, family name last. And Blair calls her Mariko.

A discussion on the true nature of the Nephilim

That's what I thought. Never finished Priv, I'm afraid, ran out of time, and now I can't run it anymore, so I sold it to a friend. But from what I heard, from some timeline somewhere, the Steltek were done with this galaxy, and have no more reason for having anything to do with us.

Not necessarily, just there would be a very big hole wherever the contact was made. If that was the process of the sun, on the other hand, we would all be dead.

    Missile launch! Hit the deck!

"Image Recognition (IR) missiles first came into use in the late 1900s, when rudimentary infrared and visual tracking technology was applied to air-to-air missiles. The basic design remains the same; however, the sensor systems have greatly improved. Today's IR missiles use computer imaging to...

    WC I...newbie needs help...

You fly with Maniac in Brimstone if you lose Series 2, in McAuliffe. In SM1, you only fly with him in the Retreat path, which leads irrevocably to a loss. The only exception is the last, winning series in SM2, but that is only because it is identical to the losing series.

Uhmm... NO. Fusion does not produce matter and antimatter. It produces a Helium nucleus. The only energy coming out of fusion is the energy of combining two atoms to get a larger one. No antimatter.
