    3D Models TODO list

No idea what ship it is, but it looks awsome! On another topic, for a sec, anyone can tell me how to save a screenshot? Or do I need another program to capture the screen? I just need shots of the look inside the Tarsus, looking forward, to the sides, and back, as to try and model the inside...

    Draymans had multiple turrets.

What I was just thinking is: Say Gemini were lllloooooooooooonnngggg between jump-points, and besides having asteroid fields *at* the jump points, it could have fog and occasional floating rocks, so that AUTO never comes on: You fly and fly through fog, sometimes getting your windshield pelted...

    Draymans had multiple turrets.

Indeed, Argentus; I already find it hard to use the onboard map after I buy the vega sector maps. And in fact I don't know how to zoom: I read somewhere that the mouse-wheel was supposed to zoom the map, but it doesn't work for me. In any case, even if I knew how to zoom and scroll, I'd rather...

    Draymans had multiple turrets.

Okay, hawk, you made your point; but even if some 'shmuck' were willing to do something for less money, and happen to be at a place where someone is willing to pay but not as much as the going rate, then work below the going rate may happen; but it won't happen often. And if it does, then the...

    3D Models TODO list

Umm.. one should be able to find travel companions at bars, now that I think of it. Also, it should be possible to get plants to put around the cabin, to make it nicer.. ;-) Okay, I'm gonna try and make a Wings3D model for the inside of a Tarsus, and keep it as is. I only used that program...

    3D Models TODO list

Can one suggest items to the list? I think that 3D technology having advanced so much since the years of Privateer and WC, we could have 3D modeled ship interiors (dashboard, computer screens, seats), so that as the ship rotates, light from nearby stars can cast moving shadows and produce...

    Draymans had multiple turrets.

I have not played other WC games than Privateer, so I don't know whether this is the case, but, IF the case is that each game lived in only one sector, such as Privateer spending all of its play in Gemini, I'd say the trip between sectors should be long and hazardous. For in that way only it...

    Draymans had multiple turrets.

Let me be a retro, for a moment. I see Brad's concerns about WCU possibly veering too far from WC, and fans of WC saying "this game is crap" because they might see too many details that contradict what they've seen before. I'd like to make a further point on his behalf, or rather expand a...

    Help!

I did, about an hour ago; hope you got them.

    Draymans had multiple turrets.

Okay. Sorry to change the topic for a moment: WRT the other big argument, about leading autotracking in turrets. Maybe to get a turret to have leading autotracking you'd need to get for it: 1) A radar (with ITTS) 2) Autotracking expansion 3) A computer 4) Software So, with a plain...

    Draymans had multiple turrets.

Good points, Spirit! Looks can change for a maker and model name. Also, people might mount extra turrets on their ships. Okay, here comes a big question: Maybe Draymans in Privateer have no turrets; but does that imply necessarily that they have no turret attachment points that could be...

    Draymans had multiple turrets.

But LOAF, the page on your link lists the Scarab as a Drayman, and gives it the same length, mass, etc., so how come you say it wasn't? Isn't that your own page? I'm confused... Also, what's the distinction between Privateer Manual and Privateer Draymans. I notice that most of them turn at 2...

Found it! Thanks, hawk. Nice ship! Where can I find it in the game?

    Possible suggestion box improvements/ideas

How about you get a long and arduous mission: Befriend the retros, become one of them, procure them weapons (for a while) to rise in rank, then offer to negotiate on their behalf with the Kilrathi, to obtain just one capship from them, with a cloaking device in it, go to Kilrah, come back with...

    Possible suggestion box improvements/ideas

Will keep US busy, I've made a pledge to program this thingy... Spirit, now that I've figured out CVS, more or less, and got the sources for the vegastrike engine, and managed even to compile them, next step is to try and do the same with WCU, but I still have no idea where the hell it hides...

    Draymans had multiple turrets.

I guess I never waited around long enough to witness the myracle.. ;-)

    Draymans had multiple turrets.

I have a solution: ALL Privateer style Draymans were destroyed by pirates or retros, so the only ones still flying are the WC1's. PROBLEM SOLVED! ;-)

    Draymans had multiple turrets.

Now, what use would a Drayman have for meson guns, or any guns for that matter, escapes me: To aim "guns" one has to turn the ship. But Draymans don't turn. Do they? I'd call that a "canon bug" and flush... ;-) BTW, I notice in WCU now pirates confronting Confeds in Draymans. Have they gone mad?

    Draymans had multiple turrets.

Okay, thanks. I think the story makes it obvious it was a Drayman, though. When Kane is pacing the deck as Burrows comes in, he's muttering "2 cargo ships were attacked when approaching this base, why weren't we attacked?" paraphrasing. Adding my own words: "All things being equal..."...

    Draymans had multiple turrets.

Just reading the story of the scarab again, So, Hank and Johansen are manning 2 turrets, and there are other gunners: at least 2, since it's in plural, and probably more, since they constitute "most of the crew". Or is there any question about the Scarab being a Drayman? Certainly it...
