    Wing Commander Animated Series

Thanks Conrad, I'm using a combination of XSI, Photoshop, FlashMX (got to love those vectors), and After Effects. Not to mention lots of drawing and hand painting.

    Wing Commander Animated Series

It's a great idea Lehah, and of course I'm going to try and reuse anything that I can in the name of effeciency, but it also makes for a pretty boring animation if every shot looks the same. I'm putting as much variation into it as possible. No test reel. I don't like releasing anything...

    Wing Commander Animated Series

Yes, that's one of the great things about 3D. Once I'm finished building the Rapier, i'll be able to use it all the time with ease in any shot I want. The only problem with that is that this is a combination of traditional animation and 3D animation, and all of the character animation is...

    Wing Commander Animated Series

Sure Lehah. The project has a few goals. The first and foremost, to be *different* than any other wing commander production, but still undeniably wing commander. I am really happy with the look of the art I've developed. It's not Anime, and it's not Disney, it IS different. Sort of a...

    Wing Commander Animated Series

Thanks for all the comments guys. The Rapier is VERY MUCH unfinished, the only reason the engines and the whole top rear isn't connected is simply because I haven't modeled it yet. It will be there. As for the innacuracies, Brad is right, they are intended. This is based off of the...

    Wing Commander Animated Series

What you see here is very unfinished, but it conveys the style of the CG being used for the project very well. It originally was intended to just make a cameo appearance with a beaten up version in the debris field shot, but it turned out much too well not to use.

    Wing Commander Animated Series

As the script for the pilot episode stands, you won't actually see the Kilrathi, but I developed their look anyway. The idea was to go with "big cats" personified. This one was the Siberian Tiger, and is intended as a hardened, lower-class warrior.

    Wing Commander Animated Series

The original version of the pilot script called for a very nice montage of the Battle of McAuliffe as the opening sequence. It didn't take very long to realize that this was just not feasible if I ever wanted to actually finish this thing, but by that time I had already done the background for...

    Wing Commander Animated Series

Well, here is some recent work from the upcoming Wing Commander Animated Series... "Wing Commander: Vega". I hope that you guys enjoy them, and any comments are greatly appreciated, good or bad. A year ago I released a few concept pieces and got alot of feedback from the wing commander...

    Wc1- First Impressions

Well, I don't believe that the Tiger's Claw was ever claimed to be new in wc1. In fact, just the opposite... the claw marks manual details some of the carrier's past. The long barrels were just an artistic convention. There's no real reason for them to be short or long, except that the...

    Wing Commander Armada...

That's another part I loved about it. The game engine provided that transitional feel between classic wing commander and wing commander 3. It made alot of the changes in wc3 feel not quite as drastic.

    Wing Commander Armada...

A friend and I had a couple of older machines 166mhz with 16mb ram that ran Armada like a dream. We played through modem and it was beautiful. His has since crapped out, and I never got a chance to play Proving Grounds. I would love nothing more than to get an Armada dogfight going with somebody.

    Wing Commander Armada...

Armada is by far my favorite wing commander. The AI is no worse than any other wing commander before it. A definite must have. I'm not really into the strategic element of it, and rarely play the campaign mode, but the guantlet and multiplayer battles are great.

    Animate-able 3D Kilrathi "person"

Here are some friendly suggestions from purely an artistic perspective rather than based on reference from canon.

    Animate-able 3D Kilrathi "person"

Very good work! Do you plan on modelling the whole body or just the head? As for reference, each installment of WC seems to have a different vision of what the kilrathi look like. If you search through the past CIC news archives you'll be able to find some of the different examples, I believe...

    The WC grape board

    Worst... or BEST?

    The WC grape board

I don't really agree with this gripe, and I've seen it pop up quite a bit lately... Armada's AI was just as repetetive as the original WC's, and none of the early games have exactly great AI. But Armada provided us with something better... actual human opponents! And as for intense battles, you...

    The Greatest Gun

As Cff had mentioned earlier, there is a bit of a difference from game to game... I voted for the Photon Cannon, as it was a great heavy gun in Wing Commander Armada. In wc3 it was signifigantly less impressive. I found the same thing with the reaper cannon.

    Evolution

Meh, I'll play along... here we go! -It is speculated that the Homo Sapien emerged anywhere from 100 thousand to 300 thousand years ago, not 2 million. -Evolution suggests a gradual adaptation, there would have not been only 2 humans suddenly appearing making a human baby, but rather a...
