Mine doesn’t have anything like that written on it, and it did come with the universe map, so it must be a different version than yours. I don’t think those would do much good against a devastator.

Is there a place on the box or in the game files that tells the version of the game? I got mine off ebay and I have no idea what version it is. Obviously pilot skill is very important but countries wouldn’t spend millions of dollars researching new aircraft if the machine wasn’t also important.

Yeah, but wc1 missiles could take down shields, unlike the fighter’s missiles in AS unless I’m mistaken, so I thought that wc1 era torpedoes might be able to as well.

Maybe the Strakhas fired their torpedoes without bothering to get a lock. Capital ship shields were a lot weaker in wc1 than wc2 so it might not have been necessary to skip through the shields.

I was assuming that because Doomsday Was still active at 81 that the other pilots could still be flying around that age but I guess its not necessarily normal for someone that old to be heathy enough to keep flying combat missions or that confed would let them even if they were physically able...

Are there any patches that add other ships for Academy? If not I think it would be a good idea for a fan project. Seeing capships duke it out would be a lot of fun.

I would think you would want at least as many pilots as fighters considering each pilot spends several hours a day sleeping.
