One of the things I missed in the latter games was cockpit damage. Seeing broken controls and wires sticking out really gave the impression that your fighter had taken a beating.

I was thinking about all the different cockpits we’ve seen in the wing commander games and tried to figure out which one I liked the best. The problem is that there are so many good ones I just can’t decide, so I thought I would ask everyone else which cockpit they liked the best and why.

Wing Commander has always tried to improve on itself and push the limits of technology. I think I would be disappointed if they didn’t try to modernize it at least a little bit.

If this turns out to be true then it’s wonderful news. Hopefully it will be a big budget game with an amazing story, but I would be happy with even another wc academy.

I don’t think we know what the average life span for people in Wing Commander is but Star*Solder suggests that it is somewhat longer than it is now.
