    Wing Commander, Comics or books?

I seem to remember there was a comic that used Wing Commander fighters and scenarios as a one-off (think it was the main character dreaming), but can't remember what it was called or who it was by. I might still have a copy saved, I'll try and find it

    Missing Pilots?

Right, never got my hands on a copy of the guide (couldn't find anywhere selling it). Thanks for clearing that up

    Missing Pilots?

Good arguement LOAF, except that I just looked over the Way Point manual, both my hard copy and a copy on here, and it does not say anywhere that one of the pilots lost was a Wing Commander. Way Point just says: Also, was Stiletto a Wing Commander as an Acting First Lt? She was a Squadron...

    Missing Pilots?

I thought those two may have been the two pilots mentioned in the Way Point magazine that were lost during the skirmish with the Kilrathi Pirate/Smugglers, rather that pilots lost to Nephilem fighters, hence their absence from the killboard, they'd already been replaced but not had the memorial...

    Music of Origin Systems

The intro to The Kilrathi Saga, which I believe the first part is from the Border Worlds Theme, and the Wing Commander III Launch/end credits music I love

    Been wondering that myself

The cake may be a lie, but the companion cube is real!

What does the acronym CSS stand for?

Maybe CSS was the designation for Home Defence/In System Security craft. I've always thought that some of the more wealthy planets would be able to afford a Frigate or two as well as fighters for their home defence teams.

What does the acronym CSS stand for?

Confederation Space Ship maybe? I'm not sure if it was ever said anywhere what it really ment

    Unknown Symbol

I took it to be the logo for the Border Worlds Military. Bit like confed having this on their flag, and a five pointed star with a sword is seen in Tolwyn's office, and various other military places (cover of Victory Streak springs to mind)

    BWS status

IIRC, in the game Pliars tells Blair that he stripped the Hellcats for parts, and you get the choice to either dress him down for it or tell him to put the parts to good use

    BWS status

Going back to the bit about the Intrepid ending up in Confed hands, someone asked why it would have ships the Border Worlds were flying on board, he's one thought: If Confed was going to be policing the UBW, the Union might not have been the only groups flying those ships, the Black Lance...

    BWS status

Yes I did mean your do your research, as the ability to carry helicopters was added *after* the carriers were built and launched. They also *can* launch conventional fighters but the Royal Navy decided that VTOL Fighters were easier to go with, and as ELTEE pointed out, the Harriers proved...

    BWS status

The Invincible class are Light Carriers, the equivalent of the Ranger class, designed to carry Sea Harrier FRS.1 . Helicopter carrier is their secondary roles. The UK had fighters launch from the class during the Falklands conflict and currently have Harrier GR9 flown by two Fleet Air Arm and...

    WC3 bugs

Seems possible. I've not played WC 3 in years though. Really need to get my copy of Kilrathi Saga back off my sister

    WC3 bugs

IIRC it was a Transport model just with a different designation, and just as easy to kill

    A WC rumor

Yes, I admit it, I started the rumour the other day down the pub when I was working. :D

    Taking out your friends

Could be yeah. When I get my copy of WCIV back out of storage, I'll have to shoot it down just the once. Oh and I always used to disable the Intrepid before landing just for the sheer hell of it

    Taking out your friends

I always disabled the Lexington, not shot it down. Although I did accidentally blow up the Princeton when I was supposed to disable it
