Yes and look at the swiss cheese story done in WCP because they wanted to save money. WC is about the story as much as the gameplay and WCP simply didn't have the story because they didn't have the money to film all those cutscenes.

The best thing about Exosquad was that people died. Any cartoon taking place during a war or with soldiers but no one ever dies sucks (re: GI JOE). I liked that there was a ligitimate reason for everything, not just a look here's an enemy because we need an enemy.

The bugs were a disappointing joke. I hate watching the movies where everyone is going "oh god we're doomed" and "they are death incarnate" and then you fight worthless ships like the lampreys. And having 5 times the numbers means nothing when you can easily kill 10 times as many ships.
