How do you run WC2 with Moslo?

He doesn't have KS. If he did he wouldn't need a autoexec.bat, config.sys or moslo. KS has native Win95 support so it plays in win9x/XP and it doesn't need moslo. Since he has the WC2.BAT this means he has the CD version. The floppy version doesn't have the WC2.BAT it uses the WC2.EXE.

    WC2 Memory problems

It's a memory range address. If you read the install instruction for this most of these WC DOS games they tell you to add it. I explain some of this here. http://www.crius.net/zone/showthread.php?s=&threadid=5063

    Dos Memory Problems

Here a config.sys and autoexec.bat for P1. As you may have notice this site cuts long lines with no space in half. You'll need to fix these lines. I added this line below. As you see it's broken in half, make it one line. SET PATH=C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND;C:\MTMMOUSE; I change the...

    Dos Memory Problems

First question. Why are you using this line? LH C:\WINDOWS\ASP4DOS.COM This driver is not for the SBLive card. The SBLive use SBINIT.COM. Second question. Why is the LASTDRIVE=M. M is a high letter. A little abit of memory is allocated for each driver letter enable. If you only have one...

privateer 2 or 1 in win ME

I am assuming you have the DOS version of P2. Also, which version of P1 do you have, CD or Floppy? These game can't be played in WinME because doesn't have DOS so you'll need to use a Bootdisk. Get a Win9x Startup Disk so you can use it to play them in Real DOS Mode. Go to a Win9x PC and in...

Definitive Privateer 1 on XP statement... please

Actually, Partition Magic can convert NTFS to FAT32. I would not recommand doing this which is why I didn't suggest it. Dual boot to Win98 or DOS would be the better way to go. But if you want to convert, first make sure you have the most current version PM which I believe is 7.x and check for...

    Dos Memory Problems

What are you talking about? You can't still be trying to get P1 to play in XP? It can't, forget it. Discribe your system. OS, partitions, sound card. P1 has special needs. Post your config.sys and autoexec.bat.

Definitive Privateer 1 on XP statement... please

Which is why you shouldn't tell someone to just make a bootdisk without first finding out what File Systems they are using. When he said he had NTFS that was your clue. You need to remember that by default XP/2000/NT will most likely have NTFS. You need to keep this in mind before given any...

Definitive Privateer 1 on XP statement... please

I already answer this question. There is no DOS in NTFS. You can't access NTFS in DOS. It's part of it's security feature. This is why you can't see a c: drive.

Definitive Privateer 1 on XP statement... please

The answer is Yes and No. P1 can't run from Windows. If you're running XP with NTFS you have no access to a DOS prompt. Using FAT32 you do have access to a DOS prompt and can use a Win98 Rescue Disk. You'll need to run HIMEM.SYS AND EMM386.EXE from the a: drive since XP doesn't have them...
