Which fighter type is your favorite?

Well there is conclusive proof that you use antigravs. In startup on WCIII "Repulsorlifts online" So there you go. I still think Mass/Size is reversed. Generally fighters get bigger, not smaller. You start with tiny by-planes and work up to jets. So since that doesn't happen it...

Which fighter type is your favorite?

I see you're piont about wings. However there are flaws here: 1. By WCIII missiles are carried internally. 2. In 9 years you cannot half fighter or component size, not when these craft have been around for 100-200 years. Planes aren't really getting smaller. The F-15 and F-22 are similar...

Which ship do you want to fly on UE2?

What ticks me off is people forget how good a fighter is once the newer ones come out. Remember, with the exception of the Bloodfang and the "Rock Fighter", the Excal and Thud were the heaviest in WCIII. Note, this does not include the bombers. By WCIV it seems newer shields are coming...

    The Flying Pancake!

I'm just going to throw this in here. I think the fighter's mass/size got mixed up. That makes the Dralthi 15m, which would look right against a Vamp. This works for every thing except WCII, which seem to not be screwed up and WCP, which is totally screwed up.

Which fighter type is your favorite?

What this means is that the only time they got it right was WCII. In WCP they tried to fix the sixes, only the mass was still too low. How can the Vamp, which is half the size of the Excal carry 32 missiles, opposed to 12 and still be a tonne lighter? Something has to be wrong. Oh, and...

Which ship do you want to fly on UE2?

Actually, if it came to fighting your way in, in WC4, then I'd rather have a Lonbow, heavier, more missiles, heavier guns. There's more than one mission where the 'bow is sent out alone. So I think that point is moot. The only advantage the Avenger has over the Longbow is a faster pitch...

Which fighter type is your favorite?

You know what I think mass/size is reversed. So the Excal is 18m long and has a mass of 32 tonnes. Sounds reasonable. It also make the Proph fighters fit. The Vamp is 17. ish m long. The only problem then is that the prophecy mass is off.

Which fighter type is your favorite?

No, we're disscussing different fighter types. You are trying to start an argument. Just drop it. The Armada Dralthi has to be a different one from WCIII because there has to be a DralthiIII.

Which ship do you want to fly on UE2?

The Avenger is definatly a heavy bomber. It was more of a bomber than a fighter in WC4. The missile load on the B1-C is heavy and four torps will do for pretty much anyhting, not to mention the vipers.

Which fighter type is your favorite?

The Cat has a lot of armor and shielding though, I reckon thats what gets it the heavy slot. Plus the missile load is actually the same as the WC4 ECX.

Which ship do you want to fly on UE2?

The big thing with the Arrow is the way the guns fire. In So you get neather a short burst of fast fire or a sustained attack. On the other hand however if you fit it with masdrivers, man, oh man. I still think it woyuld simply be a case of strapping new armor on. My point though was that the...

Which ship do you want to fly on UE2?

So I'm right, the new fighters use new armor. While the older fighters use the older, cheaper armor. Right? So strap the new armor on the old fighters and they're just as good as the new ones. Well there is a slight gap.

Which fighter type is your favorite?

Thankyou Quarto, atleast someone is reading properly. The only thing that could make the Vind a medium fighter is its gun set, which is a bit on the light side for a heavy. To say that only the classification matters is stupid, from a real world point of view its dangerous. A heavy...

Which fighter type is your favorite?

Delance, in what way is the Vind similar to the Hellcat? Manuverability: Same as Thud. Speed: 20kps faster than Thud. A/Burner: 50ksp slower than Thud. Armor: 50cm thicker than Thud. The Vind is marginally faster than a Thud, however generally it is the same. It has heavier armor...

err, whats up, like technology is stagnant/regressive in WC?

You know the Dragon costs more than whole system ecomemies? The Cloak should probably have been on the Vamp and maybe the Panther, what got me was the loss of auto track.

Which ship do you want to fly on UE2?

Its obvious that in WCP Confed is using a new type of armor which provides tripple protection. Thud F/B 360, L/R 300. Roughly eqivilant to Shrike, only slightly less to the sides with the greater front/back protection. Arrow 240/180. Roughly the same as Piranha, only similar layout to...

    hi !, from a newbie thats happy to c u call !

WCP was more arcade than sim. The "streemlined" interface was too in acurate. No missile barrages. No weapons status displays. It would have been fine if it didn't follow WC4

Which fighter type is your favorite?

This poll is screwed up. the Vind is a Heavy. It carries torps, handles like a Thunderbolt and has a turet. The only reason it's classed as a Meduim is because the Banshee is classed light. The Banshee is a medium. Look at the shields, and the firepower. My favorite fighter is still the...
