Now this is how you design a supercarrier.

Except for the 3 fly-through hangars part, I'm very much put in mind of the Star Wars Imperial Star Destroyer. Can handle capships OR fighters, carries a crapload of its own fighters, AND can transport and deploy a small army. Not poking fun, just noticing the similarities.

    Thanks Giving

Ate well, played a game of Trivial Pursuit with my sister, her boyfriend, and a couple of my cousins, and won. Why? Because I knew that Mickey Spillane wrote the Mike Hammer novels. Went and saw "Solaris" with one of my cousins last night. Decent movie, very reminiscent of "2001". Not a lot...

The moments when you were disappointed

Only if his enemies fear lame jokes and extremely played-out soft-core rap music.

Who do u like blowing out of the sky?

And see how you're disappointed in that? Tragic.

    Peace with the bugs?

I always got the feeling that the Privateer games and Armada existed off on a different tangent than the traditionally numbered games, almost as if they were in a different canon or something.

    Worst movie, ever.

I miss MST3K. I still remember back ten years when I'd watch the all-day Thanksgiving Day marathon, back when it was still Joel instead of Mike. God, I feel old.

Who do u like blowing out of the sky?

Yeah, well, what do you expect from someone who quotes Japanimation characters for life lessons?

    Peace with the bugs?

Yeah, I don't think that post you quoted was very well thought-out.

The moments when you were disappointed

This might be getting a little off-topic, but I work with a guy who's just like Rollins (the aforementioned annoying communications guy from the Victory). Skinny, red hair, freckles, lame sense of humor, always talking about people when they're not around. Oh, and big teeth. If he had a...

The moments when you were disappointed

The Tolwyn thing I saw coming; my main disappointment with that was that he was never as noble in the games as he was portrayed in Forstchen's novels. The Hobbes thing just pissed me off. I thought it was the cheap and easy way out, especially when they spent ALL that time developing his...

Making a game with a vision.

With all this talk of going to unmanned drones and automated weapons systems, I'm going to go ahead and dig my fallout shelter, since it's only a matter of time before you turn on MSNBC or CNN and hear, "Yeah, the Homeland Security Department is ready to debut the new computer system that will...

    Blair

I say dead just because it would make a clean break, and it'd let Blair go out with style. Not only that, but the way they set it up at the end of Prophecy, they'd really have to stretch to bring him back, and I think it'd just come off lame.

When do you get to pilot a Salthi in UE?

    Peace with the bugs?

Rachael'd probably want to strap one on and do Blair, what with that '80s porn star background. I usually went with Flint too. On the subject of peace with the bugs, I'd imagine that the concept would be beyond their comprehension or at the very least unacceptable to them. After all, when...

Who do u like blowing out of the sky?

I wouldn't mind taking that big Nephilim ship with the fleetkiller plamsa cannon out for a spin. I can't remember the Confed codename for it, but it was the very first ship that came through the wormhole gate and took out the Confed miner ship in the Kilrah asteriod belt.

    Nephilim

I definitely remember the Nephilim referring to themselves as the "Aligned Peoples" in Prophecy, so calling humans "unaligned" is probably like calling us others or aliens...basically anything other than to be one of them.

I have to agree with T.C., the only way to kill Bhurak is quickly, before he has a chance to bug out.

    Nephilim

Ah, well, perhaps I just need a hearing aid, then.

    Nephilim

Here's an actual Nephilim question: Does anyone know why the Nephilim refer to humans as (among other things) "land creatures"? I'd forgotten they used that term until I played UE. Are they aviary, like the Firekkans?

    WC1 Aces

Redclaw was easy to kill. All you had to do was get in behind his Jalthi and hammer the guy until he blew up. By far, the worst WCI ace was Bhurak Starkiller, the guy in the Salthi. All it took was a couple solid hits and he'd run, and nothing in the Confed inventory could catch a Salthi on...
