Darkstar One was nice, but you couldnt fly different ships. You only could upgrade your own. Freelancer was better in that point.

All cinematics from WC1 blew me away at that time. The sequence from WC2 when the Concordia blasted away the kamekh with the main gun. And the flight to kilrah in wc3, the feeling of beeing alone in enemy territory still exhos in my brain.

In the "bad" ending of WC4, you can see some arrows in the confed fleet under marshall tolwyn. This means that they served at least until then.

I think there was no german speech in the original german version of wc2, it remained english. Only german text. If you want to play wc1 in german: They sold many german copies of super wing commander for SNES. Might be easier to get one of those, my wc1 copy for pc is english.

I hope they make a good game. If its a multiplayer game, they wont be able to catch the flair of the series ( best since space 2063 ). The time of the space-operas is over, sad but true :(

In the WC1 and WC2 time, it was more important what guns the fighters carry. There were too many different guns with similar effect later ( plasma and tachyon; meson and ion ) so that this question became less important. I didnt feel that much difference between a ion-laser arrow and a...

Well, I guess that the DVD Version wasn't released in germany. So I won't be able to find it in german ebay. They try to sell WC Kilrathi Saga for 300€ there. Import.
