    Admiral Tolwyn's Court Martial

Good catch on the disk previews. Do you know if they were on only Origin games? It would make more sense - and reach a broader audience - if they were featured with other EA games, but I'm not aware of any examples. I was talking about trailers only, though, because they probably are the...

To ALL members here just want to say..

If I'm not mistaken, Secret Ops for the SNES contains both SO 1 and 2 for the PC. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember being able to fly a captured Kilrathi Dralthi in SO2, which I believe is the only "new" ship you get to fly in the Secret Ops expansions.

To ALL members here just want to say..

Don't forget, aside from games, Wing Commander's explorations into other media. The CIC has the entire collection of WC: Academy, the excellent cartoon that used the original cast to reprise their characters in a pre-WC1 setting. An no WC Fan's experience is complete without reading the...

    Admiral Tolwyn's Court Martial

Even in the US, video game trailers (at least, circa 1995) were regulated to the realm of trade shows and industry (re: gamer) publications, with the occasional video game store outfitted with a TV monitor (ah, Babbages...) that showed such video. This is a far cry from the present, with...

    The X-Wing Theory

Up until recently, I'd say the Star Trek series took the prize for taking all the class out of a series. I've never read any of the books personally, but just by glancing at the sci-fi section in your local bookstore you'd see Trek books outnumbering the Wars. At least Lucas attempts to keep all...

    The Star Wars Legacy

I gave up on the Expanded Universe when the prequels came out, and loyal fans were force-fed crap, both canon and non-canon. Unfortunately, by then my family got the notion that I was really in to reading Star Wars, so I have a good collection of New Jedi Order hardcovers I don't plan on...

    US Theatrical Release

This is probably the first time I've heard a film doing a limited release that is not being shown in New York! I wonder why, seeing that films released in such a way are looking for publicity and fan base, and all the other big cities are lucky enough to get prints. As for the distributor not...

New Poll For New Console Choices (November 19, 2006)

So, just a tiny little spiel. Sorry if I go off on a few things, but I'm a tad passionate on the subject. I am a student of Terry Borst, so interactive media is my thing. Also, I teach high school students about the art and history of video games. My personal stance in the next-gen question...

    Mon Calamari Cruisers...

Traditional school of thought when it comes to Star Wars capital ships discussions is that the Mon Calamari were a race imprisoned by the Empire, much like the wookiees. (Some people may recall that Admiral Ackbar was personal slave to Moff Tarkin.) Before enslavement, the Mon Calamari were an...

    How about.... a WC fanfilm?

Let me reiterate the point that an online-collaboration fanfilm is a vain, sad effort. Novice filmmaking hasn't evolved to a point where dozens of fans from across the world can work together on a single product. Unless you are needing some speciality like CGI help or a composer, films are best...

    Wing Commander Novels online

I found an online copy of End Run via the forums here. If you look up the End Run threads, I'm sure you can find it. I believe someone brought up the question of legality, but the link was never ommited afterwards.

    X-wing Alliance HELP!!

I had the same problem with my cutscenes (though I had patience enough to keep with them) with my 1.8Ghz WinXP Vaio. I assumed it was because the disk was a little old and perhaps a bit scratchy.. Did you get the game mint or used?

Battlestar Galactica on SCI-FI.com - WOW!

They played the original miniseries in the States over the weekened, edited, on NBC. They were both advertising the new series and the DVD of the original two-parter. Perhaps you can take a look over there to see if the DVD is out? And, maybe if the show is successful, the networks will give...

    WC Saga Concept Music Available

I would also love to know how this piece was orchestrated so wonderfully.

    Wing Commander 1, 2, and SM+SO 1&2...what is it?

Origin came out with a few "Deluxe Editions" of WC 1 and 2, containing the original games and add-ons (plus speech accesory pack for WC2). Though from what I remember, there wasn't a 1+2 two-pack. I could be wrong, though, and a white box does seem possible in my fuzzy memory. Anyways, best...

    T-Bomb name?

If it's anywhere, it would be an off-hand quote from the WC3 novel. Too bad that's the only WC novel I have yet to read.

    Family Guy

More like the legions of college students that buy the DVDs now were in middle school or early high school when the show was originally out and laughed at all the ridiculous jokes, despite not getting half of the jokes at the time. (Trust me, I know).

    Episode III Trailer - 11/04/04

Talking about the shot right before the volcanic explosions? I'm pretty sure that's a FUBAR version of Anakin, not Sidious.

    Fave game???

Last time I checked, WC4 used the same exact engine (with a little tune-up) as WC3.

Free SNES WC1 AND Secret Missions

To quote Pauly Shore: "Illegal! Illegal!" Common sense should tell you that it's not legal to have copies of games on your computer. Even if you have the actual cartridge of the game, it is still illegal to have a copy on your computer. The 24-hour trial, along with the legality of ROMs, is a...
