Hate it to be the naysayer here, but IMHO Georges's campaign is crap. Not the idea, never mind, but while I am onl ymildly interested in an orchestrated soundtrack I definitely cannot bring myself to buy a CD for a grand total of 9 minutes of music. And I guess many people think the same. Again...

To make all goals? Yes it is. Its ok if your only goal is to beat it somehow IIRC. Also the mission becomes much easier if you use the right tactic (you could also say abusing the engine). And I played that one a zillion of times. Probably my most played mission in all games...

In the end the source code to WC1 is worthless in my opinion. Sure its nice to look at it, but if you'd ever consider a remake/port you'd better start off from scratch. So much has changed with technology that you'd waste your time by expanding what was done.

I always assumed they were spider webs. I mean a ship with leaks ill also look aged otherwise. Logically it must be cracks IMHO, because as the chalk board is updated regularly the webs would have to be removed as well.

How does the patch handle the CD change quirks of P2? That is - currently P2 selects random missions that require movies by the CD in the drive. As now all CDs are in the drive do all of them get selected randomly? Or just from one of the CDs? Or...?

Starlancer played pretty well with people at two sides of the ocean as far as I remember. This is no ego shooter after all - there is some inertia in the ships and pings should not exceed about 0.25 seconds.

Worked on my 286 and works on my i7 and every model in between I remeber. I am actually surprised you have different experiences.

As I said - on my PCs it detects the keyboard about 95% of times when plugging it back in.

Theory or practical daily work. PS/2 is not hot-pluggable true and doing so may cause hardware damage. However, in my experience it just works fine about 95% of times. Never seen a defect either. So even if not designed to be hot-pluggable it usually works out fine.

Thats generally the tactic, yes. Do everything that makes them break away. Missiles, ramming, ... Then do not finish enemies (they will run away in many cases anyhow), but proceed with the next cat.

Maybe there is a line in the code that can subtract a kill and that triggered warnings when using unsigned variables. Or they just made a mistake.
