    Star lancer?

I apologize in advance for this because I know that Manic, to his great credit, already recanted a lot of what he said but just for the sake of people reading this, I don't really see were this particular series of events came from.

    What do you guys want?

Hi DC! Welcome to the CIC. Personally, It's always great to get more fanfic. I'm not really partial but the Razor idea sound cool. Always liked that fighter. No matter what, I think you will find that you'll get some pretty good constructive criticism from some pretty talented guys (and some...

    Star lancer?

At the same time, I'd argue that the Indians also "didn't just grab their [bows] and put on their [warpaint] and decide to go killing." The colonists did on many occasions use force against the Indians when they needed food or wanted land. They clearly regared the Indians as inferior and one...

    Star lancer?

There might be some debate about this but from what I've learned the white settlers who came to America were the first to "start it". They were involved in plenty of massacres of there own, often against Indians who had done them no wrong and had even helped them. I'm not sure how far back you...

    Battlestar Galactica

I think that all ships before the Defiant were built wholly or, in the case of the Constitution class and all similar ships, partly as exploratory vessels. The mandate "to explore strange new worlds etc." seems to be a large part of Starfleet's purpose (it's not a purely military institution)...

    Thrakhath's Sister and other questions

It's The Price of Freedom Book. When Blair rescues Melek he goes aboard his ship and ends up sleeping over. Protocol demands that he sleep with her but not "sleep" with her. And it was funny that he was allergic to cats. Who'd have known? :)

    Battlestar Galactica

I loved B5! Remember when Saturday night still rocked? I found it to be just a little pretentious, though. It had some really good character dynamics (Lando-G'Kar) and some pretty bad ones (Sheridan-Delenn), but otherwise it was just a great Sci-Fi show.

    Battlestar Galactica

...And why in the world does the word "undrdogs" (correctly spelled) get blanked out from posts? Sounds like a potentialy entertaining story!

    Battlestar Galactica

I kinda figured that there's no next generation of kids because B.G. as a movie was incomparable to contemporary classics like Star Wars in terms of effects and storyline. Even though it had potentially similar plot (strong evil attacks weak good who run for their lives until they can reach some...

    Battlestar Galactica

Wasn't that, or something like it, in the original movie as well?

Lot of potential irony here. :)

Why are jump points never heavily defended?

I was under the impression that both the spitfire and hurricane were gravity fed and not fuel injected ( unless I am mixing up two different things ).

Whats your favorite fighter and capship

I'm pretty much a closet Hellcat fan myself. I like the clean look and the "little bit of everything" you get out of it. As far as Cap Ships, its a toss up between the Gilgamesh and the WCIII/IV Destroyer. BTW, anybody have any idea which was the class that comprised that destroyer squadron at...

Why are jump points never heavily defended?

As a side point, wasn't the Atlantic Wall indeed backed up by a large mobile reserve that was meant to counter a successfull invasion? One cause of its failure was the mismanagement of these forces by Hitler against the advise of his generals. IIRC they were deployed peicemeal which partly...

    Thrakhath's Sister and other questions

Well, Kilrathi do seem anatomically similar to cats, so that would make sense. IIRC we also see from one of the books that Kilrathi are born in litters which would explain the need for that particular anatomical feature.

Vietnam man handles three decades without sleep

I thought I read somewhere that you couldn't stay up (naturally) more than 3 days without any kind of sleep.
