hehe, There are some pretty memorable CGI scenes in BSG, I think theres one in the next epsiode if im not mistaken. you can feel the tension. The show only got better for me after this two parter.

The CGI zoom, I felt was never really used in the combat scenes, but was used quite effectively in changing the focus from ship to ship.

If it has a light fighter capacity, and i assume its supposted to be somewhat hidden. why is there a huge gaping hole/hangar in the asteroid. A few smaller (alot smaller) hanger bays, and maybe a couple of buildings on the surface would look a lot better and be more interesting to look at...

anyway you look at it hes involved in traitorous actions. And hes definatly been/being manipulated by the cylons. cant wait for the next series, hate/love cliffhangers of that magnitude.

i always found his eyebrow acting Roger Moore esque. alas without the charm. to be honest I thought he wasn't a bad choice for Blair. Pity about the material they had to work with. "dont you die on me angel!" cough* cough* "is that a suggestion or an order" oh dear.

for me there where no problems with the design aspects of the film, almost all the sets where really well put together. As for the submarines/battleships in space, surely its slightly more believable than 700m captial ships zipping around like fighter craft? It probably going to be the way...

no boxy, or daggits. unless they are in episode 3 which i still havn't seen yet. only the last episode of the season to go now in the UK.

I never saw it as a two parter, saw the whole four hours in one go and it sat up okay, there are some genuine cringe worthy scenes however. The glow-age and baby killing being two of the main examples. It has really improved as a continuing story now that most of the exposition so to speak...

been watching it here on sky one. Its really good, there have been some weak episodes, "water" for example. but on the whole it has been quality sci fi programming. we are up to "colonial day" which on the whole was a pretty slow political episode. but man what an ending!
